Growing up, i used whatever money i earned making sandwiches at subway to buy ministry of sound albums, which is what really inspired me to make the music I’m making today in 2025.

Boys noize, Justice, Gesaffelstein, The Bloody Betroots, Daft Punk, Proxy, G-Tonic, Trumpdisco… All these guys are really the ones that started it all for me.

This EP isn’t about chasing trends.. It’s about making music because you absolutely LOVE it.

Its been absolutely amazing to expand my sound lately as you all have noticed, but it also feels nice to be going back to my roots with this EP and I hope you guys like it.

I decided to switch things up a bit with this track. Usually, I'm all about those darker, heavier house vibes, but this time around, I wanted to try something different.. you know, have a little fun with the Pretence sound. 

I recorded these vocals myself & It was pretty cool to step out of my comfort zone and get a little bit experimental. Tchami, Malaa, and Boris Brejcha? Huge inspirations for me. Their music really gets me going. So, making this track was like diving into a pool of creativity. It's a mix of their influence and my own spin on things, ending up with a banging new tune called 'Detonate'.

My new single 'bad ass bassline' is out now on Moretin, and here is a little insight about the meaning behind it:

Growing up, life wasn't easy for me. I got bullied a lot, to the point where I had to switch schools. When I started DJing, it got pretty tough. People were relentless with their criticism, and it really shook my confidence. It was tough to keep pushing forward when it felt like no one believed in me.

As time went on, I decided to take music more seriously and started to accept myself for who I am. I realized that I shouldn't change for anyone. Music became my outlet and my way to express myself. I poured all my frustrations, dreams, and hopes into my productions.

There's a moment every artist faces when they must decide to either give in to the doubt or rise above it. I chose to rise. I learned that embracing who you are, flaws and all, is the key to finding true confidence.

As an artist, if you want to achieve something, you have to be confident. Embrace who you are. Show the world your true self and do what you love. Being a "bad ass" producer isn't just about making dope music, it's about having the courage to be yourself, no matter what anyone else thinks.

So, when you listen to bad ass bassline, know that it's more than just a track. It's a piece of my journey, a testament to overcoming adversity and embracing my true self.

jawbreaker is a track that feels like something that’s made for those big, intense moments - perfect for a fighter’s entrance or when you’re gearing up for something huge. I’ve always been a fan of Hans zimmer and his cinematic/orchestral music, and I think the breakdowns create a real sense of tension. 

I’m always looking to push boundaries in my productions and feel this one really captures that energy, bringing something fresh and powerful to the table.

‘The Streets’ is a reflection of my dual life - regular by day, dark and underground by night. Liam and I started working on this track a few years ago, drawing inspiration from Rezz and Gesaffelstein. 

It is gritty, industrial, and captures the raw energy of navigating the underground music scene, much like the path I’ve taken as an artist.

At some point, it started to feel less fun, and I had to step back and remind myself why I started this journey in the first place: my love for DJing.
