Wonderwheel Recordings presents the third single taken from the debut album by Yemanjo, which blends Afro rhythms and organic sounds to create a spellbinding 10-track release with multicultural influences.

Yemanjo is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who uses his talents to produce tracks that range from downtempo electronic to upbeat Afro house, and this 10-track release showcases the full range of his talents.

Ben Harris aka Yemanjo is an American artist who now lives in Guatemala. From a young age, he was fascinated by the upbeat energy and vibrant rhythms of music from Africa and Latin America. Later in life, he travelled to these parts of the world to experience the culture first hand. He was inspired by his travels and started creating music that fused electronic sounds from his home scene in California with the organic instruments of Africa and Latin America.

After developing his own unique production style, Yemanjo was born in 2018, and since then he has built up an impressive back catalogue including releases on highly respected record labels such as Cafe De Anatolia, trndmsk, Cosmic Awakenings, and Camel Riders.

Not only does the release feature Ben Harris playing the trumpet and other instruments, the album also features collaborations with guest singers and musicians from Mali, Colombia, Argentina, Hungary and beyond.

"Bululú" is the second single taken from the full release, and it's got fast-paced rhythms that add to the jackin' energy of the groove. Influenced by afro house, kuduro and zouk music, this infectious track burns with compelling percussion, interlocking bass, horn stabs and a rhythmic vocal hook that anchors the groove.

The track’s title, “Bululú” is a slang term in Venezuela for a large, noisy crowd of people, and the frenetic energy of this track brings to mind a seething, moving mass of people. A perfect showcase of the up-tempo side of Yemanjo’s sound.

Sabo's record label, Sol Selectas, presents a sun-drenched organic house EP by Egyptian artist Hot Oasis, which also includes a stunning solo rework from A X L, plus a psychedelic collaborative remix by Sabo and Sarkis Mikael.

Hot Oasis is well known for his previous releases on Sol Selectas and other prestigious record labels ranging from Lump Records to Stil vor Talent. His sound is inspired by the desert sands, ancient artifacts and pyramids of Egypt. This gives his tracks a mystical vibe that's full of enchantment and wonder.

On remix duty, Sabo has teamed up with fellow American artist, Sarkis Mikael. Both based in Los Angeles, this is the first time these two globe-trotting artists have teamed up in the Studio. Heavily influenced by the different cultures they have experienced on their travels; they are kindred spirits who share the same philosophy of life and music. Individually, they have contributed music to other record labels such as Pipe & Pochet, Hoomidaas, Beat & Path, and REDOLENT.

A X L is an Egyptian artist making a return to Sol Selectas after a recent contribution to the imprint's Global Entry 5 compilation. He has a compelling style that takes music from traditional Egyptian culture, and mixes them with a modern electronic sound. He has also featured this unique style on other respected organic house labels such as trndmsk, Kosa and Camel Riders.

"Ghazali" is the EP's opening track, and it centres round the emotional tones of Egyptian vocalist Aziza. Her haunting vocals are layered over flowing percussion that's shrouded by majestic pads and the rhythmic notation of the melody. The track's title translates to "beautiful person" in Arabic slang.

"Farfasha" combines breakbeat drum patterns with sparkling santoor chords that along with the throb off the bass synth, form a bouncing groove. Sweeping pads provide moody suspense, while the track unfolds to release its splendor upon the world. The santoor is played by Bahramji who also adds some atmospheric vocals to the track, and the title translates as "Happy" in Egyptian.

Sabo and Sarkis Mikael's remix of "Farfasha" brings out the original's vocals to become a prominent feature, and switches the groove to a four/four kick pattern. It's a cinematic version that also lifts the energy while building suspense.

A X L's remix of "Ghazali" lifts the tempo and toughens the percussion to create an upbeat version with a new lead melody and trippy synth modulations that give his rework a cosmic vibe. The use of Arabic melodies and keyboard solos fill this version with exuberant personality.

Now a core member of the Sol Selectas family, Safar (FR) continues to dazzle with his organic tracks that combine the electronic sounds of his European upbringing with the tribal rhythms of his African heritage.

The live instrumentation on this release is a trademark of Guy Maayan's delectable take on organic house.

"Niache" is the first track on the release, and it opens proceedings with upbeat tribal percussion that creates invigorating energy. Bird sounds and flourishing trumpets combine with funky guitar licks, but it's the uplifting female vocal that gives the track its main focal point.

"Uplaya" is second on the release, and it's got a hypnotic bassline underpinning flowing organic percussion. Hazy trumpets and psychedelic synths give this track a trippy vibe, while vibrant melodies create a feel-good mood.

The EP is closed by its title track "Light in the Sky" which has churning percussion and acid synth chords laying a foundation for sweeping Arabic strings. Warped flutes and other hallucinatory sounds add to the immersive atmosphere of this laid-back slice of organic house.

Helia's cover art is another glimmer of the psychedelic dance of the Yin and Yang, the light and dark, the melting circus of wild horses and mysterious snakes.

Baikal Nomads is an innovative organic house record label, and their new release features three original tracks by m.age.project, plus remixes by Oondza, Barda, and Beatfarmer.

It's a melodic release with sweeping pads immersed in trippy atmosphere, while stripped back percussion maintains a flowing groove. Organic flurries from live instruments add to the enchanting vibe of these mesmerising tracks.

m.age.project is a German artist from Hannover, and he is a classically trained jazz musician turned electronic music producer. His style is a fusion of different genres, and this is the fourth time he has featured on Baikal Nomads following tracks on three of the label's compilations. It's m.age.project's first solo release on Baikal Nomads, and it adds to his impressive catalogue, which also includes music on other respected imprints such as Meeronauten Musik, Shango Records, Lump Records, and Ohxalá Records.

On remix duty, Beatfarmer is a Canadian artist whose style combines intricate melodies with shuffling percussion rhythms, and he's featured his music on the likes of Merkaba Music and • kosa •.

Second of the remixes comes from Oondza, who are a Canadian duo that have released their compelling style of melodic organic house via record labels ranging from, down. to Cosmovision Records.

The last of the remixes comes from, Barda, who is an Argentinian artist from Buenos Aires, and she has an experimental style of trippy downtempo, which has led to her releasing tracks and remixes on outlets including 3000 Grad Records, Shango Records, and her own Basalto Records.

"Lucid State Dimensions" is the EP's title track, and it has spiralling synths and dystopian textures layered with string flutters. "Benevolence" has an uplifting presence with soaring pads and invigorating melodies. "Psycelium" is a cosmic track with a spacious sound that is full of splendour.

Beatfarmer's remix of "Lucid State Dimensions" adds a pulsating bassline and additional melodies that give the track a boost of energy. Oondza's remix of "Benevolence" drops the tempo and adds some atmospheric acid synths. Barda closes the release with a psychedelic remix of "Lucid State Dimensions" that has a wonky bassline the addition of some Balearic trumpets.

Sabo's record label, Sol Selectas, presents a sensational collaborative organic house album by Hamza Rahimtula and the Rajasthan Folkstars. It's an Indian folk fusion that combines the artists' Indian heritage with traditional house music from the Western World.

The tracks on the album transition between organic house with Indian vocals and traditional instruments, through to jazzy, soulful house, inspired by the classic sound of Chicago.

Hamza Rahimtula is already an established producer who has released music through various Sol Selectas compilations. This is the first time he has done a full release of original material for Sol Selectas, and his tracks can also be found on other prestigious record labels ranging from Nervous Records to his own WindHorse Records. He is also one of India's most in-demand underground DJs.

All ten of the tracks have been made in collaboration with the Rajasthan Folkstars who with this album are making their first official release. Rajasthan Folkstars are a group of Indian musicians who add live vocals and instruments to Hamza Rahimtula's DJ sets, and this time they have joined him in the studio to augment his album with vocals and live instruments.

"Earth" opens the album with a tribute to the planet we all live on, and it has an uplifting mood with traditional Indian vocals layered with Afro percussion.

"Sky" is up next, and is inspired by the poetic praise of a king's daughter. It has a soaring sound that has all the elements of the opening track, but with wafting melodies that like the wings of a bird, transcend between the earth and sky.

"Algoza" is a track that lets Rajasthan Folkstars showcase different instruments from their repertoire. It's a jovial track, where the organic sounds of the instruments are augmented by an inspirational spoken word vocal.

"Morchang" pays homage to the traditional Indian instrument that in Hamza's words "has this primal, almost acid-like quality." It's a trippy track built around an other-worldly sound.

"Ishq Laga Mainu" pays homage to the Punjabi Sufi poet, Bulleh Shah, and has a sound inspired by minimal techno. It's stripped back and techy groove showcases how intricacy and simplicity can sometimes both exist within the same space, as despite the minimal backing track, the vocal performance is anything other than minimalistic.

"Kanudo Ni Jaane" is a fusion of Brazilian carnival culture and Hindu mythology story, where the goddess Radha breaks her clay pot of water, while she steals a flute belonging to another mythical being. It's a feel-good groove where Latin drums underpin Indian vocals.

"Baras Baras" is a soulful house track with jazzy piano chords and thought-provoking, spoken word vocals layered over a deep bassline, while a traditional Indian string instrument called a Sarangi plays a haunting melody. This track on the album is the most in-line with the classic sound of Chicago house.

"Ghumar" has an '80s disco influence with a Donna Summer-esque arpeggio bassline and string stabs, adding to a powerful vocal performance by the Rajasthan Folkstars.

"Gypsy Trail" combines the Latin guitar and trumpet stabs of Flamenco with the flowing rhythms of a bhapang, which is a traditional Indian percussive instrument. Hamza Rahimtula was inspired by the intertwining flow of these two contrasting cultures.
