Traveling the Highway Home

On March 7, 2018, Jodi had to put down her first beloved Seeing Eye Dog Connie. In her grief, she wanted to play music but did not want to go out into the community. As part of Jodi’s healing, she invited some local women from South Florida Bluegrass to jam at her home. By the end of  summer 2018, it was clear there was a connection and the jams turned into practices. Each member of Pretty Bird enjoy playing bluegrass music, and have devoted their time and energy to developing their sound. During performances, it is apparent they are dedicated, committed and that they enjoy playing music with each other. “Pretty Bird” play public domain as well as bluegrass covers and originals. They are inspired by musicians such as the Carter Family, Gillian Welch, Claire Lynch and the like.
