Here is a rare jingle recorded for 106.1 KFRC-FM in the 1970's. KFRC-FM was an automated Oldies format, with Program Director Don Saint John. RKO General owned 610 KFRC and 106.1 KFRC-FM. The decision was made to sell 106.1 FM to Century Broadcasting, which became the KMEL, "The Camel" and it's rock format. Eventually in 1984, KMEL became a Top 40, pop music station which ironically, help to the demise of the 610. KFRC-FM did return in April 1991 on 99.7 FM, as...an Oldies station.
