years ago, i used to play in a bar in Newcastle most saturday nights.... not just any bar, this was The Telegraph, our Blue Note of the north.... our sanctuary for Drum and Bass..... we had some pretty influential people visit us... but we never let them play :) it was more 'drifty' than Jump-Up or Tech step.... we loved it, we chilled on the fire escape, thedecks were each on a round pub table, the mixer hung in the middle and people rolled funny cigs on your record box.... the 90's....
NB: 1st mix i have recorded on decks since 1999 :)
