How long have you been creating music?

WOMPTIMUS: I have been making music on my computer for a little over 9 years now, but have been playing music since I was very young.


What inspired you to write the track released with us?

WOMPTIMUS: When I heard the original tune I instantly thought about playing Zelda on the Gameboy Advance, so I wanted to create something that emulated that sound for me. I also have a deep seeded love for grimy bass noises, 
so when I introduced those to the remix the rest of the song kind of wrote itself.


What do you use to make your music?

WOMPTIMUS: I use Logic Pro X 


Where, and when, did you first discover Prime Audio?

WOMPTIMUS:  It would be really tough to pinpoint exactly where/when I first heard of Prime Audio, but if I were to guess, 
I would say it was probably the Getter track Berzerker & the Baron remix for it back in 2012, if not earlier.


What are your current challenges as a producer/DJ?

WOMPTIMUS: I would say my biggest challenge at the moment is trying to not compare my music to other peoples music. 
I think its really good to try and learn from tracks that inspire me, but when I start to weigh my music against those tracks to judge if it is good or not, it can become pretty toxic for how I view my music. 


What are some things you are looking forward to this year?

WOMPTIMUS: Well, 2018 is on its way out the door, but I am looking forward to many things in 2019! I would say I am most excited to release some more of my music and get people talking about Womptimus! 


Who would you say is your biggest inspiration?

WOMPTIMUS: That is a really tough question to answer. There are so many inspiring artists, both new and old, and I wouldn't say any one of them is better then the other. If I had to chose one artist though, I would say that Rusko is the one who got me totally hooked on Dubstep 
when I first got in to it, with tracks like Jahova, Woo Boost & Mr. Muscle... honestly too many more to list here. 


What’s one thing on your list you want to do before you die?

WOMPTIMUS: I think it would be awesome to check out Burning Man, not even as someone who performs there, but just to check it out and see what the experience is all about. 
That being said I think it would be super fun to play some music there as well though.
