For the first time, South Africa made the list of top 20 countries for porn-watching traffic on Pornhub, News24 reported. Callers were asking about the correct pronunciation and meaning of Spaanschemat ahead of the Two Oceans Marathon this weekend. Author Mike Lundy rang in to answer the question.

How did Spaanschemat River Road get its name?

She has her own record label called ‘Zonke Music’, where she scouts for fresh upcoming talents from all over the world, but especially within Africa.

Her biggest break was when she met the German group Jazz Cantina, and after writing them a song they were so impressed they came back to South Africa and recorded her music. Jazz Cantina was reborn as Culture Clan, which now included Zonke and two other rappers.

Culture Clan released their music in South Africa and in Germany and they went on to win awards from both the Channel O and Metro FM Awards.

Zonke’s, latest album Ina Ethe (means give and take in Isixhosa), was released towards the end of last year. The first and most popular single off the album is Jik Izinto.
WE expect great things from her….including actually creating a website…and she will be performing at the CT International Jazz Festival next weekend.
