**Re-uploaded - Having just purchased T-Racks I thought I would polish up the mastering on this mix as to be fair the original result from Audacity was very dull, quiet and lacked the punch and warmth that is possible with T-Racks. Hope you enjoy the brighter louder sound!*** 

So after what seems like an eternity I have blown the all dust off the decks (well not quite all as you will probably be able to hear), locked myself away and put together a 'new' mix recorded in one take using the traditional method of two vinyl turntables and a mixer nothing more, the needles are a couple of old Shure ones I had kicking about they have a more hip-hop bass heavy sound and add an old club sound system feel to the mix. This session covers the tech area of my collection starting with some Breaks working into tech-trance, moving in to the wistful progressive tech, getting harder until hitting a more traditional Breakbeat sound and finishing it off with a more 'classic' house sound. Covering some really old tunes from the early start of my DJing in Portsmouth (so excuse some of the pops and crackles they have seen more than their fair share of ware and tear) though to more recent times in Oxfordshire. Track 4 (Coma Pirates - Dragonfly) takes me back to memories of a DJ who heavily inspired me 'Frank' who had a deep strong tech sound and taught me 'a gentleman DJ always has his pinky up when using the crossfader' memories that bring a smile to my face after all this time. This mix is the first in a series I intend to share of all of my favorite music from many different genres, so expect to see some funk, soul, hip-hop, deep-house rock and chill out mixes coming out over the next few months. This was a Trip-Hop track I put together for the end of a demo mix with two other DJ's (Random Hero and The Fabulous Hand) Random Hero does the scratching. The vocal sample comes from a BBC actors accent tutorial vinyl I dug up at a jumble sale.

Heavily influenced and inspired by such artists as Underworld, Orbital, Mr Scruff (well almost anything on Ninja Tunes), Laurent Garnier, Basement Jaxx and last but not least Groove Armada.

I've been writing for some time although thats really just a hobby but would like some feedback so please drop some in. I have been DJing for less time but with more success :p I've toured round Oxfords bars and clubs under the name of Mr Green but am switching to localhost for all now. I've also had the pleasure of DJing at the little known Truck festival in Oxfordshire, top vibes to be had there.
