Lustre Kings Productions is excited to announce the "Junction Riddim”, produced by the Zion I Kings. This unique riddim boasts a wide-variety of diverse artists from current to veteran talent, while geographically employing Jamaica, US Virgin Islands, Europe and the USA. The composition is exclusive with the use of live instrumentation interspersed with elements of digital programing, dubstep basslines and hip hop production. Performed live in Jamaica at Tuff Gong Recording studio by the Zion I Kings utilizing the drumming from legendary Roots Radics member, Lincoln “Style” Scott. Zion I Kings is a production trio that has been particularly prolific over the last few years, formed from three notable reggae label heads and audio engineers; Zion High Productions, David Goldfine (bass), I Grade Records, Laurent “Tippy” Alfred (keyboards) and Lustre Kings Productions, Andrew “Moon” Bain (guitar).

The first single on the riddim, "For the Children” a combination with LK feature artist, Jahdan Blakkamoore, teamed with rising star, Kabaka Pyramid, was released last spring to great response worldwide. Some intriguing additions to the riddim are present on the full release; the legendary “Dancehall Don-Dada”, Johnny Osbourne among them! It is rare to see Johnny appear on a new release or any riddim compilation and he delivers his classic reggae styling on “We Steppin’”. Another notable combination is crafted by the brilliant Angela Hunte (Jay-Z, Major Lazer) and Holland’s talented Ziggi Recado on “Crazy is as Crazy Does”. Par for the course from Lustre Kings, the mighty Lutan Fyah comes in strong with his Rastafarian anthem “Up in the Hills” urging his community to depart the ways of Babylon and live a more natural existence. Two other names that bring a fresh energy to the riddim are up and comers, Hempress Sativa on “Still Surviving” and Bobby Hustle on “Chatty Mouth”, both making great use of the track. Other noteworthy names that appear are Pressure Busspipe, Midnite. Lloyd Brown and the ever-articulate Mr. Perfect Giddimani.

For almost two decades, Lustre Kings Productions has become synonymous with modern roots reggae music and fostering burgeoning talent. This independent label has carved a name out for itself grounded in conscious dancehall and reggae music. The “Junction Riddim” delivers on all points, once again pushing the envelope of the genre, introducing fresh faces amongst familiar ones while remaining rooted in live musicianship and forward thinking production that resounds thoughtful, creative and evocative messages.

From an early age it became obvious that music would be an integral part of his life.  Born Mark Wynter, his father being Winston Wynter, an accomplished jazz musician, he was immersed in music from birth. 

Now an innovative and influential artist, musician, producer and songwriter, his songs are distinguished by their message of solidarity and social awareness. 

His first steps into music were as a drummer. Encouraged by his father, he learnt to play big band, jazz and rock before becoming interested in Reggae culture and music. He performed for many years as a reggae drummer, supporting and backing a host of renowned artists before he emerged as a DJ on sound systems. 

His many years on the sound system circuit saw him work alongside Reggae dancehall’s finest artistes from both sides of the Atlantic. It was at this time that he first discovered music programming and studio engineering, producing his first reggae and jungle recordings.

His highly acclaimed self-produced debut album Jah Light was followed by his groundbreaking work for Philip Fatis Burrell of Xterminator Records. After relocating to Jamaica he began to be mentored by Fatis, Dean Fraser and Beres Hammond and was pivotal in many of Xterminator’s finest productions of this era. 

If not singing, he could be found at the mixing console, either engineering or creating new music for the then premier Reggae production house. Influenced and guided by Jamaica’s finest including Sly Dunbar, Solgie Hamilton, Chris Meridith, Stephen Stanley and the Firehouse Crew, he quickly became recognised as an accomplished artist/engineer/producer with an ear for detail.

 His production credits include Sizzla’s top ten Billboard Chart album Bobo Ashanti, Words of Truth and various other XTM productions.  Highlights include extensive touring with Sizzla, working alongside Beres Hammond, Lauren Hill, Earl Chinna Smith, Morgan Heritage, Naughty by Nature and many others.  Over the years, he has worked and collaborated with many record companies including Virgin, Sony and V.P. Records.

 Currently residing in the U.K. Prince Malachi has completed his studio build and is now concentrating on releasing his own self-produced material. Now also a proficient studio and live engineer, recent credits include the BBC’s Jools Holland show, Reading and Leeds Festivals and others. 

Widely recognised for his intense, emotive and deft songwriting, his powerful and emotional live performances are legendary. With productions skills influenced by his eclectic musical background, Prince Malachi is preparing to share his innovative artistic work with the world.
