She’s been active for Years in the Alternative Scene of Geneva, doing Bookings for the Club Le Zoo, and taking Part of the Nightlife as a DJ.

Princess P & Cio returns with their fantastic show! This time they have invited special guests - Isabel de Arza aka Bihotza from the beautiful Basque Country. In Basque they say „Bihotz“ to mean Heart, which comes from „bi“ (two) and „hots“ (Beats) referring to the Heart Beat. Bihotza is describing her Style as „Social Electronics“ and she is considering herself as an Activist for Club Culture and Electronics from Equality and Awareness.

We are happy to welcome Fabian Riccio aka El Tigre Sound on Princes P & Cio show. Born & based in Lucerne, Fabian is one of the Key Figures for Obscure Electronic Music in Switzerland and has a wide knowledge in Records from Chicago-House to Italo-Disco. He is an excellent DJ with international Reputation and Part of Lucerne’s Underground Club „Kegelbahn“ with his Night „Endless Bazaar“. El Tigre Sound has also joined on Shows from Lena Williken's „Lightning Conductor“ on NTS or recently for Laura Not’s „Sounds unsaid“ on Dublab.de.

Princess P and Cio are happy to introduce their Special Guest Nathanael from Lausanne, Switzerland. Nathanael has been active since the early 90s in the French-speaking rock scene as the guitarist of the noise group Deep Frozen. In 1996, he founded the magazine Welcomex, dealing with the emerging electronic culture and began to mix and organize parties throughout Switzerland with the collective Mash up !, 34m2 and Solar Sound System. Nathanael is a vinyl collector for over 30 years, particularly fond of dark nuggets for the dancefloor. He co-founded the DJ collective @chateau_chepere in 2016 with DJ Starsand and Caillou, with whom he launched the record label Chateau Chépère Records, whose first 12” will be released in November 2021.

Princess P & Cio are a couple living in 2 different cities in Switzerland (Bern and Zurich.) Besides their daily jobs Muriel works as a DJ and Cio runs Spezialmaterial at Club Zukunft. While sitting out the current Pandemic-situation in their respective quarantine homes, Cio sent his Records to Bern where Princess P. recorded a sort of Long-Distance-Back-2-Back with music they are currently listening to including Swiss artists such as Starter, Schmutz Sisters or Fizzè.

PRINCESS P [Monthly Show] [04.09.2020]

Princess P & Cio are back with their monthly show! This time they invited Logtoad, performance artist, sound designer, DJ and veteran of Glasgow’s music community, starting out as resident at the infamous Solar raves in 1992, working and touring with Switzerland’s Spezialmaterial collective from 1995, and running the weekly pre-Optimo session Pre-Op from 2006.

He has performed live a handful of times under various aliases, making his debut as Micronaut at Elektrozübehor, Boa in Luzern, October 1998 and launching this latest dance music project at the first of Ribeka's Liberation Technologies events at La Cheetah, Glasgow in October 2017. His first EP Rat Full of Coins (Vol. 1) was released on Optimo's AF Trax in 2019, with Vol. 2 due out soon, after recent remixes for Apollo View on Insult 2 Injury and TVO on broken20.

For our 4th Show, we invited Alex Like, a Friend, a passionate DJ & Producer and overall a Music Collector since many years. Alex, who is originally from Portugal and has been living in Bern for two decades, amazes us with his hypnotic sound, with his knowledge on what he is following and his open- hearted desire to discover new. He is one part of the swiss based Trio Infernale „Les Portes Noires“. They are running a bi-monthly Radioshow on the local Radio „Bollwerk“. Alex Like is a dj and producer based in Bern.

Princess P [Princess P & Cio guest Knob]

It's in the nature of things, that working in a recordshop, trains the knowledge of music. After all, access to a seemingly never-ending pool of new releases, new editions and purchased collections forms the ideal basis for continually developing and refining one's own taste in music. If you listen and look at Princess P., who lives in Bern, at her work behind the turntables, it quickly becomes clear that she has enjoyed an excellent (listening) education: for years she worked for Plattfon Records in Basel, one of the pearls of swiss recordstores, and helped shape the store's musical agenda in buying and selling.
Accordingly, she selects records in every context with aplomb, surprise and flexibility, which bear witness to her genre-independent expertise: whether at zurich's club institution Zukunft, Elysia in Basel or during the Montreux Jazz Festival. Aware of the musical foundations of the past, but always firmly anchored in the here and now and eagerly awaiting what comes next.
Her DJ sets are based on savoury house with a touch of indie and techno. And, as anyone with an adventurous disposition knows, the detour is often rewarded with a more beautiful view off the beaten track.

Since 2020 Princess P runs together with Cio from Spezialmaterial a monthly sheduled Residency on Mutant Radio Tiblisi. They mostly play Music aside the Dancefloor.
