DJ GÄP - Wash Over Me (DJ Lycox Remix)

DJ and producer, DARIIOFOX, hailing from Quinta do Mocho in Lisbon, is known for his infectious beats and electrifying performances that keep the crowd on their feet all night long. DARIIOFOX has quickly made a name for himself in the Batida and Tarraxo music scene. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres and from his brother DJ Nervoso, the originator.

This EP titled ‘Di Ghetto’ pays homage to the scene’s “materia prima”, the original ‘DJs Di Guetto’ Vol.1 which was released back in 2007.

With maximum respect for Nervoso's inspiring (and fiery) path, DARIIOFOX’s 6-track project perfectly captures the new forms & mutations that the ‘Ghetto’ sound has evolved to be. A sound that not only resonates with the new generation but one that feels nostalgic to the old heads.

Raw, uncompromising & respectful are ways to describe this project as DARIIOFOX seeks to showcase the diversity of his productions via 2 solo tracks & 4 collaborations with Ninja, Dadifox, Nervoso & DJ Romão.

DARIIOFOX & DADIFOX - BOCA VAI TE MATAR

Ressurgência é um projeto sonoro e Extended play do artista-investigador Henrique J. Paris juntamente com o coletivo musical RS Produções. A instalação multimédia Padrões da Polifonia (2024) de J. Paris — composta por imagens de identificação, cordas de juta vermelha, miçangas de madeira e documentos em papel — é uma crítica artística, arquitetônica e institucional que atualmente se infiltra no Monumento colonialista dos Descobrimentos em Belém, no âmbito da exposição Álbuns de Família até 30 de novembro de 2024. Esta instalação e o seu contexto são o ponto de partida do projeto Ressurgência. O artista-investigador convidou a emblemática sonoridade e geração mais jovem de produtores de Batida em Lisboa — Nuno Beats, Dj Narciso, Dj Nulo e Dj Lima da RS Produções — para construir um repertório sonoro a partir do legado das tradições e do significado político da música gêneros Batida | Kuduro. Através destes legados, esta colaboração traça a história da sua composição sonora como um canal para a ruptura colectiva que traz alegria radical e fé como uma ferramenta para comunidades negras marginalizadas.


Ressurgência transmite múltiplos padrões transatlânticos, desde a dança footwork / Chicago juke criado por RP Boo em 1997 até o álbum Batida Unika de 2006 do discípulo cristão e kudurista Bruno M. A EP mapeia experiências negras periférizadas que em comum compartilham paisagens sonoras em   Configurações de BPM (batidas por minuto), intensidades de bass e movimentos corporais eletrificados. É através de uma frequência sonora contra-colonial que os corpos, entre múltiplos lugares em cidades metropolitanas, respondem poderosamente aos estados-nação.

Lors de captations "live"  au pub le Kelly à Quimper, j’ai composé en direct ce titre - (une vidéo est d’ailleurs disponible). J’ai ainsi superposé différentes boucles d’instruments instruments sur mon « looper virtuel ». Ce titre joué au lendemain du Bataclan veut dire "danser quand même !" en yorouba.
