If I were to classify the music I currently play I'd say there are three "distinct" styles: downtempo, psytech and prog/zenonesque; were I highly enjoying doing crossover sets between them. I've always wanted to try do all three in a single set and last year November I got the opportunity to do so at the The Psygasm Experience (@psygasmic) x EARS DON'T LIE's EarGasm. Usually I'd want at least an hour or more for each style to transition smoothly, but here I had 90minutes to cross from a classical downtempo act, Clear Particles (aka @killawatt) at 100bpm to a full-on psytrance act, @havokkhailstone at 140bpm. Was a little challenging, especially covering 10bpm of psytech in 30min, but I thoroughly enjoyed playing this set and am pretty stoked with how things turned out. This tracklist is pretty much a summary of most of my favourite producers 🤩Hope you enjoy 💃

For this IbogaTech episode, HANDSDOWN & LEIGH BOY have created this exclusive mix featuring a selection of some of their recent favourites. The Australian duo of Handsdown & Leigh Boy has a musical journey spanning well over a decade, throwing parties of all sorts and delivering an uncompromising plethora of progressive and emotive techno to dance floors right around the globe. Spearheading the Euphorie Bezirk brand, parents to the notoriously debaucherous Disco 2000 party series and festival favourites, as well as residency at the fabled Tramp Bar for nearly 10 years. After huge festival seasons in oz and successes from their record label Euphorie Bezirk which has had the first 5 releases in the Beatport charts + a number one, in 2021 the duo set there sights on a big year in the studio - with several charting releases of their own on there imprint as well as established European labels such as Dense Audio, Alula Tunes, Techgnosis, and Alpakka, all the while writing music for a fresh set list all original for 2022 - with some huge releases on the horizon.
