Prins Obi's fourth long play is a quarantine/depression/one-man-band/home-made album, recorded during the two long athenian lockdowns. Composed, produced, performed (with the exception of a few special guests) and engineered in its entirety by Obi himself (with Todd Rundgren and Stevie Wonder as inspiration), this new LP marks his entrance in the bedroom-musician universe and gives him the chance to experiment with new sounds and ideas. 
It's the end of the civilisation as we know it and the beginning of a new era... Prins Obi invites us to his personal playground and invents an alternate reality where you can taste the sounds, hear the colours and overcome your pain and obstacles through creativity and honesty. This is not a statement, just a shield.

Sissi Rada is the guise of Athens-based artist Sissi Makropoulou; a contemporary harp virtuoso and creator of experimental electronica.

Her work straddles two worlds; one of discordance and one of beauty. Her background as a classical musician in part steers her approach but there's always a distinct sense of intuition and experimentation in her output, which sees her work with her harps, her voice and other electronic hardware.

These threads are on display across her new album Nanodiamond which came out in November on Kryptox. The 13 tracks illustrate Sissi's ability to make music that explores harmony and melody in new and exciting ways, and feature guest appearances from the likes of Brian Eno, who co-produces one of the tracks, and Lena Platanos, who offers her wistful vocals on single 'Maps'.

Just like her output, her mix for us today - which she describes as 'schizophrenic in a sweet and loving way' - strikes that balance between harmony and disharmony. A befitting soundtrack for a Monday.

Prins Obi’s fifth full-length is his most ambitious and expansive work to date, both musically and lyrically, incorporating elements of hip hop, orchestral pop, reggae/dub, sophisti-pop and spoken word among others, while pushing the envelope in terms of songwriting and production. 
Composed, produced and performed in its entirety by Obi himself at his home studio, New World Boi is a loose concept album about emancipation, redemption, anti-conformism and artistic freedom… Sad, funny, introspective, outgoing, gloomy and playful at the same time. A new kind of pop as envisioned by the artist.

New World Boi is out on CD, Limited edition Cassette and Digital album on October 20th via Inner Ear.
