Recorded live at fabric's 25th birthday, their RA.999 captures that feeling perfectly. High-tempo, irresistibly groovy and full of quiet authority, it marks a return to the series for both: Moonear with RA.520, and Dygas with the fourth-ever RA Podcast all the way back in 2006.

They also gave rare interviews, reflecting on a deep musical connection that began in 2007, the legacy of minimal and lessons from a life spent in DJ booths the world over. 

"I felt excited and lucky to be invited so early in what I now see as a much longer journey," wrote Dygas. "Music holds memories in its frequencies, and the right track can transport you instantly to a past version of yourself. That’s powerful. That’s the kind of power I respect." Amen.

This week on Select, we have Prïss, one the most exciting DJs and producers coming out of Beirut. 

Known for eclectic sets that weave through funk, soul, house, minimal, breaks and leftfield techno, Prïss is now based in Nairobi, where she has been exploring alternative music and sound design, collaborating with regional artists on live performances and releases that challenge conventional club frameworks. 

A familiar name on the global circuit, Prïss has shared the decks with international heavyweights like Dixon, Âme, Gerd Janson, A Guy Called Gerald, Nick Höppner, Éclair Fifi, and HVOB. Her versatile style has taken her from Beirut’s Ballroom Blitz, where she held a monthly residency, to stages across Paris, Austria, Jordan, Switzerland, Hamburg, and Berlin. 

Outside the booth, she runs Puzzle.ke, a Nairobi-based events brand known for pushing the boundaries of venue design, visual production, and curation, spotlighting musicians in immersive, experimental setups.

For her Select set, Prïss delivers a glitchy, futuristic journey through deep-tech and minimal house, one of her favourite musical styles. Expect acid-tinted basslines, obscure samples, and flashes of Italian dream house, with tracks like Nicole Moudaber’s “A La Follie” and Onirik’s “Spencer Direct Line.” It is this kind of set that feels like staring out the window of a rocket ship zooming into space.

Priscilla's obsession with music led her to sharing the stage with international 
names such as Dixon, Âme, Gerd Janson, Cassy, DJ Hell, Nick Höppner, HVOB, Cinthie, Eclair Fifi, Mihai Popoviciu, PillowTalk, No Regular Play, Darin Epsilon, Joyce Muniz and Animal Trainer, as well as landing gigs in 
Paris, Lyon, Austria, Jordan, Greece, Italy, Switzerland and Berlin.

MATJAMI: Acoustic-electronic soundscapes, deep beats, slow trance, empty space: meditation by listening and playing. 
Tip: Use good speakers or headphones to enjoy the rich, deep sounds and binaural recordings.

We three at MATJAMI (Marcel Bode, Tjalling de Leeuw, Mike de Leeuw) develop our sounds and grooves as we interact live, using our bronze, wooden and stringed instruments, (Balinese gamelan & gongs, bowls, Tibetan horns, Chinese guxing & gongs, Javanese kendang drums, timpani, beer bottles) with Native electronics, samples and live loops. The quality and the texture of our sounds are at least as important as the composition. 
We play our sessions 'on the fly', where one of us starts and the rest comes in at leisure... All you hear here was recorded live, with only some simple stereo and eq mixing afterwards.
We love to perform in open areas, theaters, level stage, and spaces with a special feel to them; a small audience is just as nice.
Recently we started collaborating with other audio-artists like VictorYibril, Fintan O'Brien and Phlip Smith (G.A.), Miraela, and Augenmerk, combining their very different music styles, field recordings and soundscapes with our beats and sounds.
