One night when I was five, I was beaten by a family member. The blood from my nose wouldn’t stop flowing. I remember to this day the metallic taste in my mouth, the nausea and the fear that I might actually die, felt for the first time in my life. 
Emotions dulled by antidepressants. Fear of the darkness I see through the cracks in my curtains. Insomnia makes my days feel disjointed and out of sequence.
The creation of this mix was a kind of trauma therapy for me.
