This  is an attempt to render the songs of Dr Bhupen Hazarika, one of the greatest cultural icons of India, in the Sanskrit Language with a view to enhance and expand the scope of this great  melody .Present version " Vistirna pratire " is a translated track and its original form is found as " Bistirna Parore " in the Assamese Language which has also  a Hindi version titled "Ganga Behti Ho Kyun " The concept of rendering Bhupen Hazarika's songs in Sanskrit owned by Ranjan Bezbaruah ,the singer  himself and it's included in the audio Album '' SAGARA SANGAMA ..In the confluence of  Seas ; Produced by Mayukhi communication ,Guwahati (2012)

The Extra Mile

A Saranga Convergence started out from a quest initially to make a psychedelic song. However what came about was a song that had strong influences of progressive rock and time signature experiments along with a carnatic 'thillana like' melody . This whole song came about within a few hours of jamming with the musicians and remains one of our favourites.

Mir Mukhtiyar Ali was born on the 1st of August 1972 in a small village called Pugal on the North West frontier of India in the state of Rajasthan. He is from the semi-nomadic Mirasi Community which hails from the Thar Desert. Mukhtiyar represents the 26th generation of this humble community which has successfully kept alive the oral tradition of Sufiana Qalam.
