OW4 Floid - Yayomia 

For the next release on Omen Wapta, Delft based producer and digital sound artist Floid builds trip-like atmospheric sound pieces. Letting go of specific genres or ideas, the artist has a skilled and intuition based approach to electronic music production. While not building towards a peak, he creates endless rhythms and active narratives elevating each other by surprising intervals. 

OW4 'Yayomia' is part of a new digital-only series on the label, seeking to discover different territories of sound. In this five-track EP, Floid translates his fascination for dancing crowds, into mind-leading sonic spaces to slowly get lost in. Here, the producer takes constancy, repetition and glitchy influences to an own interpretation of hypnotic deep techno. The outcome is a series trippy danceable soundscapes, to fall into trance with.

A fierce introduction to the world of Oomycota, Confluence is the debut long form release presented by Naarm based bluhol (aka Loïcc).

Building upon bluhol’s debut liveset performed at Minutiae Festival, held on Wiradjuri Land in NSW during the new year cycle 23. Confluence represents a conscious shift in the Australian electronica soundscape, drawing deep inspiration from the vast bush land lining the eastern coast and paying homage to the unique nature and phenomenons that exist there.

bluhol, previously producing under Loïcc, is a sound artist based in Naarm, who’s roots are firmly planted in the Northern Tablelands of NSW. They intricately weave together the organic and synthetic, exploring the juxtaposition of nature’s fluidity with the structured rigidity of urban landscapes. With a keen focus on technical sound design and modular synthesis, bluhol crafts immersive auditory experiences that transport listeners into realms both melancholic and unsettling. Their compositions serve as a medium for contemplation, inviting audiences to reflect on the interplay between their past and future selves.

Oomycota operates on unceded Gadigal land. Confluence was written and produced in Naarm. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of these lands and extend that acknowledgement to the Anaiwan people, the custodians of the lands where bluhol originates and draws inspiration from.

We recognise the immense privilege in being able to create on these lands, and pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.

We are glad to present the debut LP album from an artist within the Organic Signs family: @solmadj . One year ago, the French artist planted the seed of this sonic journey with his set at The Memoir by Hypnus Records. Now, that seed has fully blossomed, unveiling a collection of new creations. Eight tracks that define his sonic universe, where DnB, halftime, and tribe intertwine in an atmosphere of hypnotic textures and pulsating synths.

The journey begins with Wetlands, drawing us into a mist-laden landscape where solitary birds glide through the sky and the dense humidity clings to every breath. In the dim light, a deep, enveloping sound spreads through the air, merging with electrified gusts of wind. As we move forward, distant echoes of other life forms emerge, thriving in the space between water and earth.

The first heartbeats stir in Mud. Continuing the path set by its predecessor while subtly layering new elements, the track immerses us in mystical soundscapes, unlocking portals to uncharted dimensions. Percussive fragments, scattered across the stereo field, begin to surface tentatively, paving the way for Clay, where the hypnotic progression deepens.

With Spores, the rhythm evolves into 4x4, maintaining the ethereal essence that has permeated the album from the start. Percussion elements phase in and out, leading seamlessly into Trimitic, a stripped-down yet profound exploration of minimalist Tribe.

The album builds in intensity, reaching its peak with Fungal Network, an electrifying burst of energy crafted to set the dancefloor ablaze. Then, The Consciousness of Plants slows the pace once more, introducing a whispering voice and a synth that oscillates fluidly, pulling us into its meditative sway.

The journey culminates with Reset, where the tempo eases, and the narrative comes full circle. The echoes of birds return, this time illuminated by the clarity of a new dawn. With Liquid DnB rhythms and textures, Solma concludes his debut album with a farewell that lingers in the mind, resonating long after the final note fades.
