Istanbul based audio/visual artist Koray Kantarcıoğlu releases his first tape output for Cloudchamber after 2016's Loopworks (Initially released as a tape from Wounded Wolf Press in 2016 and later issued as a vinyl from Discrepant Records.). 

Havuz (means pool in Turkish) is a two part piece made up of seamlessly mixed loops. Like his previous work, Koray manipulates samples he dug from Turkish records and tapes to create otherworldy sound textures. 
This time instead of a computer, Koray composed Havuz entirely on a minimal hardware setup with limited processing options. Result is an intimate, lo-fi sounding record. 

Album art is uses the collaborative work of Koray Kantarcıoğlu and Erdem Ergaz called Duopoly (2013), which combines the two different perceptions of form within a schematic arrangement.

"Possibly one of my most experimental works yet. Channeling a myriad of influences, from noise, to black metal, to post-rock and shoegaze techno. The distortion is on full display, beautiful blasts of drone interspersed with grinding ear splitting buzzsaws, chimes, church bells and ASMR poetry in between melancholic piano interludes. An ode to the first snow of the Winter."

Zeeschuim is a continuation of Zeemijl, a long-form piece from 2020. Through their density and movement, these two works become sonic sculptures of the North Sea and the Irish Sea. 

Consciously or not, life on an island is about crossing water. Crossing the river in a city or the country; crossing the sea to leave the state. When water surrounds you, it defines your existence. 
zeeschuim considers what happens under the surface of these waters, and the chaos both above and below the surface. Emergence in the currents, emergence in the life above.

A remote scenery frozen into a glacier of smoke, holding a flame to the dawn of the encroaching rapture. 

Waves of bronze and silver form an impassable mirror of punctilious sound. The onyx and crystal expanse opens into blackness, a symbolic landscape forking into distinct shadows. Encapsulated in menace, caught and consciously projected onto the sunlit sand. There’s nowhere to flee from this amplified vessel.

“Span” is a collection of snapshots in time, moods manifested into physical reality. As sound takes form in a physical shape, songs are summoned from electrical current. The design process informs the writing, research and experiment gives life to sprouts of song and fold into itself, giving further ways to communicate via touch and muscle memory as a means of expression.

Meng Qi is a musician, iconic hardware synthesis designer, innovator and lecturer. “Span” is a collection of his songs written during experimentation and enveloped in the design process.
