"Amor Fati makes his debut on Promesses with 'stoopide': a 16 track album ranging from trap to EDM to emo-rap. The project is really an album with the soul of a mixtape, marked by its abundance of ideas and the freedom of form(s) inherent to the format. 'stoopide' was born in 2022 with the desire, after a detour through folk music, to return to the roots and pay tribute to the musical genre that first inspired Amor Fati: SoundCloud rap. The project is an ode to naïveté and spontaneity, materialized by raw, aggressive productions, all composed by the French artist. The lyrics are alternating between waves of frenetic energy, carnivalesque euphoria and moments of dark introspection and self-destructive moodiness, all imbued with the dark humor and self-deprecation typical of the post-modernist attitude representative of the SoundCloud culture. 'fourmiz' featured vocals from French singer Lavender and 'spring break' from Brussels-based artist lazza gio."

Pour ce premier épisode je suis allé à la rencontre de Caroline Drieu pour revenir sur son travail de Master, autoédité sous la forme d’un fanzine++ et intitulé 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘦 𝘋𝘑-𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘥𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘦. Nous y avons évoqué son métier de DJ, sa pratique de digging et son approche plasticienne du mix. C’était l’occasion de parler d’archive, de transmission, de partage, de lien et de sens (éthique) à donner à ses pratiques de gold digger ou chercheur·euse d’or, quelles soient de DJ, de libraire, de chercheur·se ou d’éditeur·ice.
J’espère que cet échange résonnera avec vos propres espaces et pratiques, j’accueille avec plaisir vos retours et réflexions.
