This project is our Jam EP, preceding a future album down the road, as the title reads “For Now”. As in, we know these are imperfect but they are signs of greater things to come.  All instrumental, guitar heavy, but on a noticeable vibe. Kick back, relax, grab a beer, and hang out like we envisioned for this project, we want you to have fun with this as a listener, as we did creating it. After months of jams we have been proud of, we made the decision to permanently put them down, and this project has been the culmination of those many influences, styles, and jams that have played out in our bedrooms and living rooms over the past few months. As friends for our entire lives, over 20 years, which has allowed us to establish a repertoire for working with each other and understanding the nuances of each other’s personalities, and we feel that this project shows an exceptional understanding of where the other one is heading musically, and where we will go in the future with this together. These were all done in 1 take, jammed through, original pieces, meant to be listened to while kicking it with a few good friends over some cold drinks. 



Booze cruise blues:

This song is a blues in the key of A, meant to bring out the aggression, soul, and grit meshing Southern and Chicago Blues. This is real drinking, “my woman left me” music, that feels as if it comes straight from the hard drinking and hard living bluesman mystique. Recorded and written while on a musical journey induced by booze, we felt it was an upbeat yet soulful start to the whole piece. 


Tornado watch:

Both having been college students at Midwestern schools, we felt that this spacey jam gave us feelings of the exhaustion of the day on our walks back to our houses, with the red sun brewing with tornado warnings (usually ignored) blaring at the slight possibility that a twister would touch down. The spaced out, exhausted feeling of those walks home, with the annoyance and ignorance of the alarm, were reminiscent of the feeling that something big might be coming down. This can also be felt when things in everyday life become a little chaotic, or dangerous, and needing a constant reminder that something bigger could be coming down the road, positively or negatively. 


Get That Tramp off The Trampoline:

This was a funkier, happier tune than the past two, though the soul is not harmed or lost on the overall feel. We felt that this was a party song, something to hang out in the backyard and grill out to while interacting with good friends. The bouncy feel was reminiscent of a party in our younger years, or the childhood feeling of fun that came with a play date at the friend’s house who owned a trampoline. It reminded us of feelings of playing in our childhood running out of time to play as we were held back with a younger sibling or girl who didn’t keep up. The fun seemed simple and innocent then, happy and fleeting, and we hoped to display that on this tune. Reminded us of the innocence and We feel that this take is an exceptional one and are extremely proud of how it came out. A song for sitting back with good friends, enjoying the time.

This title track is meant as a farewell, for now.
