This track is called Sombre Station, it's based around the idea of capturing the hustle and bustle of the London Underground to contrast the icy sounds of the pianos that can be found and played by the public. I wanted to be able to put a sound to the way it feels to sit down at a piano in a busy place and ignore the world around you to pour your heart into playing - having the chaos slip in and out. It's intended to be played by multiple people on one or two pianos. My intention was to have an interaction between simple parts that have to be played by more than one person in order to celebrate that small moment in time where two people who have never met sit down and play together at a station and then go their separate ways, a sad but beautiful occurrence.
