He weaves together thoughts of the transient with the eternal, with a melody and a fierce guitar that tugs at the strings, trying to break free - and embracing the listener in a tight, emotional grip, as The SoulSpinner eventually sings out his mantra about Jesus's return and about those who are hidden away.
Each verse in "Death by the Pool" explores the contradictions of existence - light and dark, beginning and end, surface and depth. As a humble acknowledgment of his own vulnerability, he sings about how every end is a new beginning, and every goodbye contains the hope of a new meeting, a contrast that is a fundamental theme in my works.
