Prodiiiiiii's debut Extended Play "Sgandi JO!" is making waves in the Pretoria underground
music scene. A Thabiso Thabethe produced a body of work. Sgandi JO! has all the makings of
a modern Motswako EP. This is what the HHPs and Bafitlhiles were blazing trails for. A project
of it's time.
Sgandi is the informal name of Winterveld where Prodiiiiiii hails from. Tie title "Sgandi JO!" can
be loosely translated to "Sgandi yo".The artist introduces the world to Winterveld's street culture
in a project named after the township.
The project opens with an Afro-pop ballad, Makoti. The second song, Nyala o Nyele is a lyrically
explicit Drill heavy wedding song that sees the rapper expressing the desire to tie the knot
regardless of the challenges it brings. Straata is the antithesis of the whole ep with the rapper
tackling issues of gang violence, drug abuse, unplanned pregnancy and a failing justice system.
Tjhelete addresses money as a need and as a catalyst to most human vices. This separates
Prodiiiiiii from his contemporaries as a vocalist and storyteller.
Motswako pioneers' sacrifices are vindicated by a lyrically expressive storytelling modern sPitori
crafted project that sounds longer than it's running time of 13 minutes.

House 33 Days is a 7-track project by Prodiiiiiii that was produced solely by Producer/Musician Thabiso Thabethe with additional guitar solos by Haikuu on King Kong & Blesser. Born on the 29th of May in 1991, Prince
seshigwana who's professionally known as Prodiiiiiii
is a hip hop artist from South Africa. He was born in
Botshabelo, Free State and raised in Winterveld
where he is currently based.
Prodiiiiiii specializes in the Hip Hop sub-genre of
Motswako made popular by the likes of the late
HHP, Khuli Chana and Cassper Nyovest. Prodiiiiiii's
themes are centered around the state of township
economics from a perspective of a young black
man in his twenties.
Prodiiiiiii started his rap performance career busking
inside trains in 2015 where he formed his two man
band with Thabiso Thabethe called TOES Band.
They went on to perform at festivals like Fete De La
Musique (2015 & 2016) and We Are One Music

Prodiiiiiii
Festival (2018). During his time with TOES,
Prodiiiiiii focused his energy on helping to create an
open platform for alternative musicians to showcase
their works. The platform manifested in the form of
Black Labone a weekly event that happens on
Thursdays Black Labone was established in July of
2017 by Izah Kutsh. Prodiiiiiii joined in September
of the same year and has been working as a sound
engineer, MC and performer since.
In 2019 he chose to grow his solo career in a move
that saw him performing at 3 festivals, My African
Wonderland, Homecoming Africa & Smoking
Dragon Festival. Homecoming Events named him
and four others as Artists on The Rise in the same
year.
Ready to finally put his name on an EP title,
Prodiiiiiii enlisted the services of his longtime
collaborator Thabiso Thabethe to produce it. It was
in June of 2021 that the musician began work on
what would be known as Sgandi JO! The EP is 4
songs deep and was released on the 21st of June.
Thabisio Thabethe brought onto the project a sonic
collage borrowing from modern pop styles to more
alternative urban sounds. This project has a good
urban and pop appeal. Available on major
streaming platforms and distributed independently.
