Putt Jattan De (Feat. Soni Pabla & Surinder Shinda)

Everyone who's punjabi knows about the classic track Putt Jattan De. It was originally sung by Surinder Shinda for the movie with the same name, back in 1982. The film & the song turned out to be a huge success and is considered iconic within the punjabi community.

It's been remade many many times by many singers. One of these singers is none other than Soni Pabla himself.

For those of you that follow me and aren't punjabi, you may not have heard of Soni Pabla. He was a singer from the early 2000's with an amazing voice. Every song he touched was gold. Unfortunately, he passed away tragically during a performance at the young age of 30.

The vocals I've used here are from an old UK track by @PanjabiHitSquad released way back in 2003. Soni sang this to a completely different beat from the original, and it was made to be a UK garage version of the original.

It took me literally forever, but I was able to chop/screw/warp the vocals to be similar to Shinda's 1980s version. I tried to do more, but I was just messing it up if I tried to process the vocals any more lol.

I also tried to keep it as folk as I could while incorpating modern elements into it. The first half is Soni Pabla only, the second half is a both Surinder Shinda and Soni Pabla singing together.
