A beat tape made entirely within the confines of my London hotel room, which was my sole accommodation for 2 weeks while working in the capital. Being away from my girlfriend and daughter brought about many emotions, all of which can be heard throughout the music, feelings such as loneliness and isolation. While the general vibe of the tape remains true to traditional boom bap aesthetics with hard hitting drums and gritty samples, the lead single ‘treat yourself’ is clearly influenced by lo-fi and acts in a way that gently eases you into the rest of the tape, with beats that have raw energy and drum grooves that’ll break your neck.
