The song F T P was necessary for me to deal with the pain of witnessing so many that look like my dad, my uncles, my cousins slaughtered by individuals that are sworn in by law to protect and serve. An outlet to express my outrage and frustration for the people who have been systematically paralyzed and dehumanized since the United States was founded. In the 21st century, some police behavior towards impoverished communities of color still resembles that of its precursors 300 years ago. An abusive behavior and the monopoly of legalized manslaughter.

Rebel against normalized injustice.... 

I R A I V's goal is to create today's soundtrack to motivate the human rights activist, the freedom fighters, and the water protectors. The video was shot at The Atlanta March for Social Justice & Women, with over 50,000 in attendance. The march was a peaceful demonstration of solidarity bringing together members of underrepresented communities, women, and their allies from Georgia and nationally (atlantamarch.com). The purpose of being at this particular protest was to be the voice for those that are fighting against police brutality and injustice towards women and men of color. R E B E L was sampled from Lauryn Hill's song "I Find It Hard To Say" which was a response to Amadou Diallo's shooting that occurred on February 4th, 1999, by four NYC Police Officers.
