90s90s Dance Radio 2023 WOW.Jingles & Branding

Relaunching the Kingdom’s first and currently only English-language radio station, Radio Bahrain 96.5FM.

Aimed at English-speaking Bahraini and expat residents between 10 and 55, the station has a wide audience in terms of cultures and backgrounds. So they were in need of audio branding that unifies the station and its digital platforms under a single sonic identity. Plus a visual ident for screen devices.

The sound production and motion graphic had to contribute to the station’s ambition of being a dynamic brand. Not only in the Kingdom, but in the Arab world.


Hot AC + CHR = Hot CHR

The creative formula had to fit that wide age demographic, mostly focused on the younger end to achieve the desired brightness of sound. It could be called a CHR package with a touch of Hot AC, reflecting a current mix of Pop with Pop-Rock, Urban and Dance. Or, given the climate, Hot CHR might be a better name?

Consisting of 10 custom-made jingles, and news, service & contest imaging, this is the 2023 sound for Radio Bahrain 96.5FM.

For years, Bay has trusted WIZZFX with their station’s sound. Recently, they approached us to update and revitalise their jingle package, all in order to uphold their long-standing legacy as the number one station in Malta.

Comprised of a three note sonic logo, these 12 themes tick all the boxes for modern CHR jingles and perfectly compliment the station's energy.

Imaging Blueprint - Highlights - May 2023

Denmark’s Skala FM returned to Wisebuddah once again to design their 2023 station sound. We reworked Skala’s heritage sonic logo into a collection of Hot AC anthems, written to blend perfectly with the station’s playlist. 

We incorporated sounds from multiple genres - with big synths, drums, vocal chops and rich harmonies, this new package provides for every style.

Nostalgie have partnered with Wisebuddah since 2017, and to accompany their 2023 revamp, Play Nostalgie asked our team of composers to produce a host of generic station themes, show themes and new Information Elements.

Featuring a broad range of styles and instrumentation, the package was inspired by some of the station’s favourite classics to modern hits to accompany their varied playlist.
