Farewell Transmission

This is the backing track I put together for Buck 65, for his performance at the Knitting Factory NYC, on Thursday 18th December 2008. I had two instrumentals ('Indestructible Sam' and 'Blood Of A Young Wolf'), as well as bits and pieces from my own collection (being a sincere Buck nerd), and after some set-list discussion I went about producing this so it linked and flowed like a mix. It wasn't unlike the megamix I made in 2007.

I did a lot of chopping and editing, and replayed some elements here and there (some keys and extra things here and there), and added a few cuts in places too. It was cool to remake 'Pack Animal' as well, I love the orignal so much so it was great to make it from scratch. I wish I could have done all this in person at the show but it was impossible unfortunately - I saw some footage though and Buck totally smashed the heck out of it. Unbelievable.

It's a pretty comprehensive set right there, and this is just the instrumental. It was a one-off performance, but I thought it might be nice to have the music up here just to prove it existed! It was an absolute honour of the highest degree to be invited to make this, and I only wish I could have been there in person.
