another day another r3 patch this time i make a bit of noise... that I'll work into something useful. i should also mention that this is a one key wonder. theres only some minor effects tweaking and LFO time shifting i did manually.

a little percussion snippet from a work in progress... uses two channel outs from uTonic. far too much random parameter "automation" and a submix off "b" out into the usual gauntlet of lovefilter and replicant. to call it skittery would be an understatement.

another piano improv recorded with a MXL990 USBmic this time (the buffers crackle a little in the beginning but i think it sounds a ton better than the previous ones)... run through a touch of audio damages EoS reverb to kill the hiss...

Moog filter ride

a little experiment using envelope followers to control effects parameters based on notes.
sounds sources: tx81z through my ART fxr processor + R3 with not additional effects (the string sounding bits in the background) - and a touch of Eos reverb for good measure. i tried to make it as improvised as possible but it would up being around 32 bars of recorded midi data...
a really simple FM piano patch always sparks tons of ideas

this was a direct line recording from the four outs on the ws a/d into reaper multitrack.
one key held for 32 bars no other effects aside from the ones onboard
tis a shining example of how the hardware sounds a million times better than the crusty old plugin version.

This is one of those things where I experiment and sketch a thing out in a couple of hours and then ultimately don’t do anything with it. I considered adding some vocals but that would make it a bit more industrialized metal than I might be ready for. Regardless it was an interesting experiment. 

In case you are curious: The bass signal chain is EHX big muff Pi > DOD Bass Flanger FX72 > EHX Super ego > Boss Hypermetal. The drum bits are the Elektron machinedrum run through audio damage Grind with a little EQ / compression for fun. Oh, and the drone bits are the bass part pitched, stretched and layered a few times. It’s dark in here.
