In a repeatedly rephrased metaphor of vinyl archaeologists digging for samples and re-constructing music from tiny pieces and fractions of long lost sounds, <i>Weedy</i> of <b>40 Winks</b> is actually a rare example of this image being executed to perfection. His puzzling way of piecing together intricate beats, rich in details, breaks and variations, is rather analogous to surrealist art than to most of his fellow contemporary beat-smiths. On top he adds his own instrumentation to perfect these compositions, being like a conservator creating mosaics of rhythms, grooves and harmonies, giving the listeners imagination ample space to wander about.

Vic Spencer received a call from Martin $ky on 10/23/12 saying that he made a new beat for their collaborative project, Modern Vintage. The 2 ended up at The Grind House with engineer Doc da Mindbenda that Saturday 10/27/12 recording what comes out to be 64th Floor. They spit 32 bars a piece equalling up to 64. Martin's chill flow and Spencer's flow pattern mesh well together as they continue to build on their musical/lyrical chemistry. The 2 release the track that following Monday 10/29/12 via blogs and every blog is saying that the track features Vic Spencer. It's Martin $ky & Vic Spencer! So get it correct, people!
