I'd gotten thrown out of a speeding Malibu on hwy 41.  I rolled into in a motel parking lot and stole a motorcycle that happened to be there.  I rode that thing all the way to New Orleans and started working in a guitar builder's garage.  Once I finished paying off a couple debts to my aunt and uncle, I put a band together and we learned to lay some serious eggs on club gigs, man.  We rolled out the good tunes after a long day's apprenticeship into night and shared the spotlight with old Free Dog Malone.  Took off on some cosmic jams then and I tell ya nobody woulda believed we were the same band.
