I was a rather weird kid, listened to Spike Jones, Benny Goodman, fifties rock´n´ roll and my father´s jazz record collection (O.  Peterson, Bird, C. Brown, W. Montgomery etc.)
 Later I discovered Psychedelia, New wave/Punk, Japanese noise (especially C.C.C.C.), 60-70s rock classics, Debussy&Messiaen, Dub reggae, Prog (Gabriel era Genesis, Van der Graaf Generator....), vintage Beninese stuff (Orchestre Poly Rythmo de Cotonou, Gnonnas Pedro  and so on), UK Freakbeat, out-there Jazz, Bowie/Floyd bootlegs, J. Zorn, early 90s Indie, F. Zappa, antique French Pop (Dutronc, Laforet...), U. Srinivas plus labels like Delerium Records, Shimmy Disc, Japan Overseas (Osaka), RecRec music and God knows what.
Additionally, I should mention that my all time favorite Finnish album is Sperm "Shh! Heinäsirkat". Check it out!
Various literary and "cinematic" influences have molded my music.  The more predictable stuff like Surrealism, Dada, Situationism, Beats (mainly W. Burroughs) of course, but I have also been influenced by the old-school Finnish Radio Drama, Beninese "traditions", the ramblings/books by P .Levenda, Megalithic Structures&Art, the humor of H.S. Thompson, 70s-80s Eastern European Animation, Yakuza films and by the cult movies re-released by Blue Underground, Something Weird Videos, Mondo Macabro, Arrow Films and so forth. Pretty far-out stuff that could destroy your mind permanently?
 And nope, my photo is not from the 50s or from the 60´s (It was taken around 358 BC, hahaha).

This song started as a recording of Computart playing the guitar and singing/whistling to a metronome, which you can find raw on his page. Having worked together before on a song called The Shining, the Frenchman reached across the pond again and asked me, the Yank, if I would like to add anything to this. This style of music being one of my favorites, I jumped at the chance. Of course, I got Ken involved right away because every great song needs a great drummer. I came up with a bass line, to which Ken added drums, to which I in turn redid my bass line, as is our usual process. I then added the mandolin. Then, Ken added the hand drums to put the icing on the cake. Tez was generous enough to produce and mix this for us, and we feel like he got it to sound like we were all playing in the same room together. 
  We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

At the time of the birth of jazz, the role of the guitar was primarily as a rhythm instrument. I enjoyed this recording while remembering the lives of the great guitar players of the time, wondering what it would be like if we translated that atmosphere into a modern style. When I listened to this music work by Vocalatti&Mark Dorricott, I thought what a wonderful voice it was. And I was amazed by the piano playing. The bass and drums were cool. Yes, it was very natural for me to think that I could overlay my guitar playing on it. 

This time, I focused on playing the rhythm guitar, which is modest but has a strong presence.

I am honored to be able to release this collaboration here. Please enjoy Vocalatti's wonderful vocals and Mark Dorricott's excellent performance.

This recording does not include my solo guitar parts. My role is primarily to highlight the wonderful vocals and piano playing, but another reason is that I want my friends who are learning guitar to take this opportunity to experience the reality of blues playing. I would like them to try the following.

I just wanna start by saying thank you for the continuous support from everyone who listens to my music and leaves me comments. It really makes my day to know that people are enjoying my music. It has been amazing to build the community of musicians that I have and be able to meet and work with the people that I have.
  The amount of inspiration, motivation, and friendship I have received from everyone listening, helps push me forward and excel me in my creation. This song is a big example of that. Finally listening to this song today after I was all done with it, I was a little taken back. It is crazy to think that less than three years ago I didn’t like trance or electronic music very much at all lol. But here we are and I am Very happy with this one.
