The Dave Brubeck Quartet's 1959 album Time Out features many non-common-time signatures. The album was inspired by street musicians in Turkey playing in 9/8 time, which was rare for Western music. Perhaps the most famous track is Take Five, but there is a more complex song on the record, "Blue Rondo à la Turk" which starts in 9/8 time but the saxophone and piano solos are in 4/4 time.

Blue Rondo à la Turk is mixed with "Bowls" from the 2010 album Swim by Dan Snaith under the moniker Caribou. Both songs are complex on their own and the two mixed together can be difficult to take in. Listen if you dare.

In case you are wondering, Caribous (aka Reindeer - Rangifer tarandus) seldom wander as far south as Turkey, except possibly during Christmas.
