The origins of Kissay were in House and Techno. Though my style has moved more to the realm of Bass Music, even then my style is always fluctuating. Being requested to perform a set leaning more towards my origins is always a treat. 

This mix heads through many sides of House/Techno oriented music, brushing against the broken beats I love, still forcing you into dissonant sounds at different parts. It's a slow burner meant for real listening.

With a solid foundation in early DJ culture, starting his career on vinyl and coming up alongside the influential Audiomedics crew, Josh Anderegg has stayed more than relevant. Beginning with electro, tech-house and bassline, now dabbling in halftime, DnB, and experimental bass with heavy Hip-hop influences, he has not let any genre define him. Instead, Profound.1 is about finding the intensely intentional in a diversity of sound. The name comes from the desire to always strive for mindful and meaningful artistry while ever reminding himself to be humble; that we are but a decimal, or a fraction, of the whole picture. In a sort of dancefloor alchemy, his music aims to speak to the heart of the individual while also fusing together the collective bonds between us.
Having shared the stage with artists like Nico Luminous, Govinda, An-ten-nea, Desert Dwellers, Neelix, M!NGO, Symoblico, Pathwey, Grouch, Devin Kroes, Dot Diggler, Viscous, and Hedflux, as well as playing at multiple festivals around the country and Burning Man. Profound.1 attempts to be more than ‘heady’ and is driven to make music that arouses passion and is truly transformational. Listening to Profound.1 is not a passive role. It asks us to lose the distinction between artist and audience and together use music to illuminate tomorrow’s brightest possibilities.
