lang lang ist's mittlerweile her, dass uns die zwei don kannaillies von und zu düsentrieb in unserem fernsehgarten beehrten. deshalb spitzen wir nun umso mehr die ohren für dieses ausgezeichnete nachtragsständchen. ja hat friz denn schon wieder geburtstag? wie dem auch sei, frei nach dem motto: 'man kann auch ohne spaß alkohol haben', genießen wir diesen ohrenschmaus. heute schmieren sie uns deepen, spährischen honig ums maul und wir können gar nicht anders als ihn schmelzend wegzuschlabbern. 
auf auf, und dass die freundschaft ewig wehrt. fettes dankeschön und wir freuen uns auf ein wiedersehen im tal des tarabs. <3

Never say no to something that pushes you forward.

Diesen Monat dürfen wir Lara Schick (www.soundcloud.com/lara-schick) als Gästin in unserem letzten Schleichcast für dieses Jahr begrüßen. Wir sind stolz auf das was hinter uns liegt und freuen uns umso mehr sie an Board zu haben und ihrer Geschichte lauschen zu können! <3 Das Artwork ist von Caitlin Backhouse.

~Zeit für ein schleichendes Frage & Antwort Spiel~

>>Wer bist du und woher kommst du?
Mein Name ist Lara Schick und ich komme vom wundervollen Planeten Erde. Mein derzeitiger Aufenthaltsort liegt irgendwo zwischen dem Bodensee und der französischen Schweiz. Je nach Wind- und Wellengang.

>>Wie kamst du zum Auflegen?
Ich habe beim raven im Club die Musik vermisst, die ich im Alltag im Ohr hatte. All die wundervollen Künstler und ihre zauberhafte Musik, von der ich wollte, dass sie gehört wird. Dann hab ich anstatt rum zu heulen ein Deck gekauft und angefangen aufzulegen. Das war definitiv die beste Entscheidung der letzten drei Jahre!

>>Was gefällt dir besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Wichtig ist für mich die Geschichte, die mit einem Set erzählt wird. Manche Geschichten schlagen etwas langsamer als andere. Das schönste ist dabei vielleicht, Lieder von einer neuen Seite zu entdecken, wenn man sie um einiges langsamer spielt, als sie geschaffen wurden.

>>Was ist dein aktueller Lieblingstrack? (und auf wieviel BPM)
Puuuh, das variiert nach Laune. In dem Set für euch ist es Dopamine von Joshlane, bei dem Drop bin ich fast vom Stuhl geflogen. Mir gefällt die runter gepitchte Variante sehr (von 125 zu 95 bpm).

>>Ein Set, dass du dir immer wieder anhörst?

Whoa! How did I get here?

Last thing I remember I was sitting in my room and taking a sip of tea. It tasted quite bitter though, now that I think about it. Should I have taken out the ginger earlier? 
But that doesn’t explain how I ended up in the middle of a desert. 
I can’t say that I hate it though. I wanted to take a vacation for quite a while now… 
But I didn’t pack any sunscreen. Or my phone! If I don’t take pictures, no one will believe me what happened.

As I’m walking the land, more and more plants start to occur and the desert magically changes into a steppe. But as the biodiversity grows, so does the feeling of being observed. Was this cactus just moving, or was it its weird shadow? Someone was snickering now, I’m sure of that! – Come out and show yourself! – Less hesitantly than I would have thought the shadow emerges and reveals his slender silhouette. “I am a doob” it says. “Our kind roams these parts since the dawn of time and it doesn’t happen often that we get visitors.” 

As we wander for a bit and talk, he tells me about their kind and their culture. It seems these creatures have been here longer than any other species that is known to man, living in complete symbiosis with their surroundings. They tend to the earth and the earth gives back generously, so they don’t know jealousy or greed or suffering. What a nice way to live! 

I might just stay for a little longer and listen to his tales of a palmy life.

A very warm welcome to 2021. We all hope that this year will again be marked by community,culture and creative exchange. It seems that it is just a faded memory from a time long past. So we wish for nothing more than to colour this memory by dancing together: Live & Authentic  ❤️

This time the patient waiting will be sweetened by @chu-chi-gong . The DJ'ane from Frankfurt is a part of Kollektiv Schöne Töne (@schoene_toene)and already played gigs at Kabinett der Kuriositäten, Tropen Tango Festival and Cassiopeia.

Telling stories musically her style is slow, deep and emotional along with  a broad variety of influences: Ethno, folklore & Medicine-Music to name just a few.

Chuchi wants to overcome boundaries with love, music and spirituality. Her intention is to touch the deepest feelings of people opening up the safe space for the listener to set them free.

So feel free to be inspired by Chuchi's sound, open up your sacred space and let her music carrie you away!
