The project was born in Bologna in 2011 with the idea of creating alternative sounds, mixing genres such as metal, progressive and stoner.
The band's sound is characterized by polyrhythmic compositions, eclectic vocal lines, powerful distortions, pounding grooves and psychedelic riffs.
Music is accompanied by socio-poetic texts, full of metaphors, in which
it is possible to read between the lines a severe criticism of what has become
the human being.
The group initially performed in the Rock clubs of the underground circuit of
Bologna and then expand throughout the state.
Their performances are energetic and engaging; the atmospheres that are created they are sometimes incendiary and sometimes dreamlike.
The experimentation and the continuous mash-up of genres make Progenia one
ever-changing creature.
