Maara's NTS mix

Celebrating the hundredth Animix with some of Animalia's very own - a special live set recorded at the Animalia event in May by Ebbs n Flow (@ebbsnflow), the brainchild of Will Holden & Dashiell. Will is @undergroundcityloop, and one half the iconic Melbourne chuggy trance duo @hybridmn. Dash (@dashiell) has released solo tunes on Animalia, and also makes up one third of Animalia's very own boyband, Ménage (@menagerecords). 

In their new project, the two have paired together to create cheeky, steppy tunes which delve into tech house, garage & d'nb inspired sounds. Ebbs n Flow released a couple of tunes on Animalia's recent compilations and have much more in the works.. so happy to share this mix with everyone for number 100!

Rambal Cochet is a newborn alias of Krasnodar based Konstantyn Isaev aka Volta Cab @volta-cab with releases on Space Lab, Griffe, Where We Met, Dark Leader. As Rambal Cochet, Konstantyn prefers a strange hypnotic soundings in his own productions with a taste of oldskool goa, early/late 90s progressive house/trance, new age electronics and new wave of forward thinking music. "Since I was a little boy, music has been part of my life. The first contact I remember is with Jem and the Holograms."

Originally from Buenos Aires and now living the dream in Berlin and London, I've spent the last fifteen years mastering the art of DJing. My love for 90s dance music passed down from my mom and grandma, got me hooked on vinyl and dance beats from a young age. My record collection became my most valuable possession and has followed me loyally everywhere I go.

Lately, I've been busy in the studio, working on new music. My first track was released last July, and I'm excitedly cooking up Tremendo Recordings, my new record label, which will spotlight some gems from the past, with its first release coming out in September.  

As co-founder and booker of Hypersoft, a Berlin-based queer collective and club night, I'm all about creating inclusive dance spaces and giving fresh and seasoned DJs a stage, all while backing Queer, FLINTA+, and humanitarian causes. A very good friend ( and probably my N°1 fan) once described my DJ style as "a wild mix of 90s progressive house and trance, spiced with crazy Acid House, analogue synth, and Belgian new beat vibes, with a dash of psychedelic space techno." And I couldn't agree more with my friend's words.
