There are many outstanding artists within Electronic Music, however, from another galaxy far, far away there is a human named Legowelt who has created his own world separated from all others. We had the pleasure of releasing a Legowelt remix on our Dim Garden Album release some months ago and now we've released a very special mix where you can listen to unreleased Legowelt tracks and a lot of tracks that he loves.
We believe that we live in a magnificent era being spoilt for choice and that’s how I feel when listening to Legowelt live sets. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Legowelt is one of the most influential artists of our time and a top artist who has always been identified as being in the Underground scene.

Perennially fascinated by old and battered noise-making machines, his dizzying output is defined by analogue textures and classic values ​​as well as an ever-roaming sense of sonic investigation that veers from techno to freaky house deepness via old school acid. A producer with a rare sense of humor.

We present to you the first CD album from Scottish born, LA based, acid connoisseur, Richard Wilson aka Beatwife, demonstrating his formidable signature style once again in the form of Cornbrail Acid Part 2. Having recently completed a collaborative album with Henry Collins for Planet Mu under the alias Misty Conditions, and currently working alongside Sid Wilson of Slipknot as a member of The Miami Vice Sound Crack, Richard takes the time to expose 16 prime cuts of Electro/Braindance retro-futurism from his personal collection, firmly setting in stone his inimitable wonk and sparkle.

A snapshot of the current Beatwife story, Cornbrail Acid 2 was constructed at Moonbase Studio over the last few years whilst living in California. Different threads of a laid-back, 80s aesthetic run throughout the album; from the jaunty vocoding of Wonder Maker and blood-soaked goth-pop of Shell Suits, to the trashy, unpredictable flow of Flash Buckle and the all-out feel-good ending of a John Hughes ritesdepassage movie that is Everyone's a Hero - making it an altogether brighter and catchier experience than other examples of his output

Having been recently selected by the Vestax & Casio corporation to develop sounds for a new line of synthesizer and mixing products, this album not only serves as a concise insight into Beatwife's musicianship, but also showcases a range of his prototype devices. His surreal hybrid of retro glitz and hyper-modern chic instills a sense of elation whilst still reaching comfortably into moodier realms, all-in-all providing a contemporary, and more widely palatable, take on psychedelic electronic ideals.

I Lost someone very dear. I was watching her hold on to her last breath. I was rooting hoping she would make it. She did not. So I wrote the only thing I could. I been making lots of content of using sequencers on Facebook. Put this is a song I had to complete. No more music in the back burner. I wanted to apply my new techniques I learned over the years. Mostly stereo. 

This has feeling of breathing, breath taken, until you can’t take any more breath, until your last breath.


I know this style is not for you. Or has been done before. I did this style because I wanted to strike emotion. And it’s a mix of all the different records I enjoy written for someone we loved that’s now gone during all howls eve.

Manchester's Skam Records have earned something of a cult status over the last 30 years. Helmed by Andy Maddocks, the label has become synonymous with names like Gescom, Jega and Shadow Huntaz and built a huge family of producers who've returned to release on the imprint time and time again.

In the latter half of the 90s they became one the first labels to sign Boards of Canada and go on to release two of their early EPs; Hi Scores in '96 and Aquarius in '98. More recent movements have seen Skam keep it local, including Afrodeutsche's celebrated debut in 2018 and a second 12" from North Manc Beds, while last month saw the release of a They Can't Be Saved, a new album from James Ruskin & Mark Broom's Fear Ratio project.

Skam: The Flavour of the Label Mix

I am a sound designer for Grammy winners. I use vintage analog synthesizer and drum machines. My main focus is to make sounds no one has ever heard before. And to uplift hhuman consciousness. I am the Linn drum guru. I design for people all around the world. I use an Oberheim prommer to make custom EPROMs. I’m trying to make more time to write music.
