After releasing Tales From My Living Room back in December 2017 not much has happened on Calypso Chili. But in 2018 I decided that now was the time to proceed. I asked my good friends Melokolektiv and Stefano Ritteri if they would be up for remixing a track of own choice from the album. And I’m very grateful they both said yes. I also choose do re do my favourite track on the album, Only Human Casualties. The results are now ready for you to enjoy, and from here its up to you to decide, whether you like it or love it.

It’s a crazy world outside right now but fortunately Mobilee are on hand with some genuine ‘Common Sense’. 

Literally… ‘Common Sense’ comes courtesy of the consistently on-point Spanish producer Squire AKA ex-Formula 1 driver Jaime Alguersuari, a man who’s been responsible for a whole string of beguiling cuts on the likes of Flying Circus, Bar 25 and My Favourite Robot in recent years. This is his Mobilee debut and, like everything he’s done in his career to date, he’s stepped up once again for the occasion.

With support from Dixon and Trikk already pledged, ‘Common Sense’ is shaping up to be one of this season’s most unexpected anthems. Introspective, measured and dusted with emotive chords, it’s coated with the dynamic harmonic vocal layers of Graham Baxter (of Flowers & Sea Creatures; the inimitable deep indie game-changers who burst through on Buzzin Fly 10 years ago), and has the emotive potential to stop a dancefloor in their tracks and take their breath away.

It’s complemented by ‘Peacock Ritual’. More majestic in its epic church-like glow as arpeggios spiral upwards into the ether and crystalise before your ears, this is hypnotic peaktime material right here make no bones about it. The perfect foil to ‘Common Sense’… A crazy world can also demand crazy moments of total dancefloor immersion.
