Ursprünglich war Frank Sinatras „Moonlight Serenade“ namensgebend für das neue Album von @einmusik. „Ich hatte den Refrain tagelang im Ohr und inhaltlich passte die „Serenade“ zu meinen schon fertigen Songs“, gesteht der gebürtige Bielefelder. Am Anfang wollte er auch ein Album mit nur fünf bis sieben Stücken machen: „Da ich aber einen so reichhaltigen und diversen Output über die Frühling und Sommerzeit hatte, entschieden wir uns, ein Doppelalbum zu machen, eine Serenade mit „Movement I“ und „Movement II“.“ Die ersten sieben Songs sind klar strukturiert und für Clubs und Open Airs gedacht. Die letzten fünf Stücke sind musikalisch im Ambient-Genre angesiedelt. (...) Der Longplayer erscheint auf @einmusika-recordings. (...)

Its been a while since we released a V/A on Noir Music and I only ever compile them whenever I feel I have 5-6 tracks that stand out.
Dark Stars Volume 4 has been 6 months in the making and yes..... I know I am picky with the music I sign.
I hear that on an almost daily basis.
But even though I could pick music from many different artists it still took me months of compiling, testing the music in clubs and at festivals and then putting together the tracks I felt stood out and complimented each other.
The great thing about V/As is that you get the chance to put together a release from artists with completely different sounds and ideas.
Although the sound of Dark Stars Volume 4 is quite minimal sounding overall, it still reflects musicality and great in-depth productions by skillful and experienced artists.
Another great thing about Volume 4 is that these are all artists who make their debut on Noir Music.
I truly love playing every single track from this release and I enjoy watching the crowds reactions around the globe.
I feel no need to get deeper into detail about the specific tracks, as the music will speak for itself.

Marino first got our attention with a tune called ‚Can’t feel‘ a few years back. We played that track for ages, followed him since then and his music always found a way into our sets. Since we started the Siamese label he was always on the wish list to make a record for us and after his successful debut on the latest ‚Siamese Anthology‘ EP we can finally reveal a full EP from Marino Canal.

The title track ‚A Fire In The Sun‘ has been a permanent tool for us since we got it. It is changing the mood especially in the first part of our sets, letting us go many directions after it. It‘s calm but powerful, emerges suddenly but then goes back to its steady groove.

‚Her Perfect Sky‘ is Adrian Schweizer‘s favourite and was featured in the recent and highly anticipated Cercle set we played right in the French Alps. It did fit perfectly to the surrounding and we really had the perfect sky that day.

Next up is ‚White Atlas‘ which reminds us a bit of the minimal era. There have been a few tracks back then which had enormous depth and warmth and this one goes a bit into this direction, with a catchy but darkish melody.

‚Distant Borders‘ marks the perfect finish for us, a nicely moody track that doesn’t try to steal the show but works in its own way.

Unrilis is a heavyweight techno label originally set up by Italys Rino Cerrone, and its new release is
from Greek artist Spiros Kaloumenos.
Spiros Kaloumenos is one of the people who helped pioneer techno and DJ culture in Greece, and he has made many notable releases on highly respected techno labels such as Christian Smith's Tronic,
Markantonio's AnalyticTrail, Florian Meindls FLASH and the highly influential Planet Rhythm as well as his own Focus Records.
Alongside the two hard hitting original tracks is a remix from German maestro Drumcomplex, who is one of the most consistent techno artists around right now. Many know his releases on labels such as
Carl Coxs Intec and Andre Croms OFF Recordings, plus he is a highly sought after remix artist with this EP being fine example of his honed talents.
Blocks Of Life gets the EP going with its hypnotic acid pulses, and Drumcomplex reworks a toughened version with added drama and peak time appeal. The EP is finished off with the machine
funk of Scripta Manent and its pounding groove is the perfect party starter.

Unity Records introduced a brand new EP from Barbuto & Da Fresh, comprised of two collab singles.

Austin, Texas-based DJ & Producer Barbuto has partnered with Freshin Records label boss Da Fresh to produce a slick two-track techno EP that harnesses the combined power of the duo’s formidable talents.

"Zig Zag" adopts more of a tech house vibe with a swinging beat augmented by crisp percussion and thoughtful variations in rhythm. A cerebral journey that draws the listener in as the track builds momentum, Zig Zag is a cleverly-crafted counterpoint to the EP’s more aggressive opener.

The Guided Perception EP will be released on Unity Records, a label based out of Toronto focusing on the best underground techno and tech house.
