TAU welcomes a powerhouse link up for our latest release. Italian duo Hunter/Game combine their creative energy with Øostil to form a supreme alliance. Both acts have long established themselves with the house and techno realm, bringing their unique flavours to a long line of releases and performances around the world. Their credentials are top tier and this new single demonstrates their prowess, with two alternate mixes including a spellbinding rework by Denis Horvat. Release epitomises the combined experience of these two talents, with crisp sound design throughout. An undulating bassline lures us into the mesmerising atmosphere, with hushed female vocals speaking in French and a repeated Release mantra. The tension builds steadily, as all the elements coalesce and complement each other, guiding us into a breakdown. After this point, the track continues in a similar vein, the low end maintaining its hypnotic grip as the seductive vocals drift in and out of the background. Denis Horvat steps up to remix Release, adding a harder edge, and more pump, to the energetic imprint. Horvats signature sound gives this its distinct vibe, utilising an array of unusual effects to send your brain into another dimension. The warped composition makes this a headtrip in itself. Denis considered approach creates moments where the energy plateaus a little, allowing the tension to build... Steel yourself for an extended breakdown, which explodes into a high-energy finale, where the push and pull culminates in a powerful climax. Finally, the Club Edit retains key elements from the original while taking things into slightly darker territory. Hunter/Game and Øostil offer a haunting reinterpretation of their track, with more impactful drum arrangement and higher energy all round. One for the 5am heads down crew...

Astral Records closes out the month of February by welcoming Bruno Longhitano back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from Argentina, the Rosario resident first emerged in 2019 with releases via Addicted Music and Us and Them Records. Instantly recognized for his haunted minimalism and deep dark melodies, Bruno would go on to record subsequent projects for Pursuit and Running Clouds across the next two calendar years, before making his Astral Records debut with a contribution to the labels popular Celestial collection. Moving forward, the Argentine would further his creative partnership with the imprint, recording his first artist EP States of Essence in August of 2022. Continuing to develop his craft, the onset of 2025 would usher in a career highlight for Bruno, making an impressive debut on Yottos Odd One Out imprint with Vested Interest. Now, continuing to build momentum as we approach the years second quarter, Bruno makes a welcome return to Astral Records with Attitudes. Comprised of three highly stylized creations, it is the striking sounds of Contraptions which set the tone for the release. Bruno crafts a deeply engaging piece, complete with clustered tonal cascades, neatly manicured percussion and a splash of orbiting sonics, the latter of which forecasts a colossal triplet-style drop and emotive finale. Selection two Fixed finds Bruno stepping decisively on the gas for a proper club-effective journey. Tight, crunchy and bursting with ultrasonic energy, its an air of unpredictability which makes this such an inspired creation, one which flows through pyrotechnic effects and skittering percussive arrangements, before reverberating into panoramic arps and buzzing synth mutations for a finale of meandering musical co-actions Acting as the EPs closer are the glitched out emotive sounds of the title selection Attitudes, an electric journey highlighted by vibrant tonal themes, spastic sonics and moody motifs. An amalgamation of sound which not only proves to be prophetic, but also groovy and cerebral in equal measure.

Turning up with their debut transmission for Stil vor Talent, power outfit Anturage & Alexey Union clock in with heavy punching double-trouble. Full to the brim with raging EBM bursts and unrelenting arp-laden machine funk, 'Engage' is not one for the faint of heart.

An ebullient showoff of muscular big-room engineerings and in-your-face rhythmic assault, 'Engage' lets hell loose through a hail of puncturing kicks and sharp-as-a-dagger synth stabs moving against tide after tide of dance floor-submerging bass maneuvers. One to blast out loud with the EQ set to full-destruction mode, there goes a post-apocalyptic ripper of the boldest ilk. Fleshing out its equally sinewy framework with higher levels of disco and fun, 'Keke' is no-surrender body music in its purest essence, locked and loaded for maximal impact. Pulling out a battery of infectious bass pyrotechnics and heavily-processed android chatter, the track unfolds with enhanced climactic fury through a six-minute-long distribution of juggernaut knuckle sandwiches and cyclonic sweep kicks. About a year on since his last incursion on the label, Pavel Petrov returns to Stil vor Talent with a new two-tracker, 'Divine'. Championing a sound both exhilaratingly fun and genre-busting, Petrov serves up a pair of laser-guided floor crushers: tapping both in the dream pop seam when it comes to those FX-coated vocals whilst letting the hounds of EBM loose rhythm-wise. Boasting jagged curves, heavily-processed textures and straight out bouncy elasticity, 'Divine' is a low-slung kind of roller, primed for extensive use at peak time or across the more subtly nuanced layers of pre-after boogie down. Either way an understated piece of delectable grooviness and playful funk rolled into a rogue wave-ish heater of a track.
