Deep Prog/Deep Techno mix

A lot of roads seem to be leading to Israel for @renaissance-recordings. Following Magit Cacoon’s superb Argy revision and a soon to be seen remix from Chaim & Jenia Tarsol (watch this space), there can be no denying the sheer weight and calibre coming out of the country.

Further proof, as if that weren’t enough, now comes in the form of Jos & Eli’s SOS EP.

The intrepid Israeli duo arrive at @renaissance-recordings on a hot streak, following releases on Watergate, Armada, Stil Vor Talent, Dear Deer and more… With the SOS EP they deliver two absolute corkers that, in their trademark fashion, blur the lines between melodic techno and indie.

The package receives a further genre-expanding boost from men of the moment @Framewerk. Arguably the current dons of all things breaks and electronica, the British duo imbue their magic on title track SOS with a full throttle mix that pairs a devastating bassline with the tracks infectious melody.

Berlin based DJ/Producer Re.you has joined forces with up and coming talent Florian Busse on a 2-track EP, ‘Purple Claim’ on Davide Squillace’s famed label, This And That and following from recent releases on Kompakt, Mobilee, Hot Creations and Keinemusik among others.

The EP kicks off with ‘Cuando’ and its heavy drum beat and hypnotic vocal which immediately captures the listener's attention and leading to a transcendental journey!

The B-side ‘Intersection’ gets straight to the point and turns into a dancefloor tech house piece which hints of acid, arpeggios and trippy synths that will surely keep you on a continuous groove.

Anturage and Saccao rekindle their production partnership with a new release on Steve Bug’s Audiomatique. Both artists have built very strong reputations over the last years - Anturage being a production duo from St.Petersberg while Saccao has had a string of killer tracks released on labels including Suara, Toolroom and Global Underground. 

Here, the guys dive deep into techy, rolling tracks designed to heat up the club. Title track 'Dance In The Circle' is a powerful example - a growling, streamlined stormer that keeps building and building before the release comes. 

'Seven Ways' is a little more laid back, but still finds inventive ways to ramp up the tension through expert use of an ethereal breakdown half way into the track. 

'Phobia' is a shining example of how to craft a tech house bomb, every element perfectly weighted and placed, creating a whole that’s way more than the sum of its parts.

Beginning 2018 by remixing two of the industry's most revered talents in Nick Warren and Jerome Isma-Ae, Cid Inc now presents his first original project of the year. 'Abyss' is the hugely anticipated follow-up to the Finnish artist's chart topping progressive anthem 'Shifter'. A staple in the sets of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren all throughout 2017, it sat comfortably as one of the genre's best by year's end.

From stripped, punchy beginnings 'Abyss' retains the progressive techno ethos Cid Inc. was instrumental in creating almost a decade ago. Encased in a crisp rhythmic shell, warm bass swells and machine gun cadence drive the foundation. The storyboard evolves with delicate melodic lines and impassioned overlays, eventually melting down into a euphoric break. As the melodies blossom an intensely emotive crescendo is reached as a soulful wail summons a powerful final act.

The companion piece 'From Within' finds Cid Inc. exploring dreamier textures and wistful sonic tapestries. Binding rhythmic flow with distinctive stabs and hypnotic arps makes for a sleek, meditative first act. A perfect prelude of sorts, as tasteful chord
changes summon melancholic motifs and hopeful pads, building subtly as a smooth rush embodies warmth towards a purring finale.

Sitting comfortably in the present, 'Abyss' maintains that timeless flair which embodies Cid Inc's work. Two striking tracks for the impending spring season and no doubt a look ahead to more exceptional music from the Finnish artist.

The seventh EP of the label will be by the name of the Bolivian, Barcelona based, producer IVA (@ivamusic). The EP consists of three originals of which the title track is in collaboration with Vero Pérez on the vocals. Besides the talented producer Arude (@arudeofficial) managed to create an intriguing remix.

The title track of the EP is called ‘Distorted’. It’s an driving track with captivating vocals. When the driving synth and the vocals are coming together, an energetic moment is created which swallows you into the track.

 The Belgian-born producer, live act and sound designer has crafted a nostalgia-driven delight; ‚Trains, Planes & Automobiles’ is brimming with retro synths and digi stabs, reminiscent of a Pac-Man session. 

Heavy with bottom end punch, Fideles deliver a stellar breaks interpretation of the original, which kicks with plenty of sentimental spirit. ‘Save The Night’ is a gem, uplifting keys, swirling layers of synths and a hook-ridden vocal sealing its impact.
