The past 4 years have nothing short of the good, the bad, the ugly, and of course, the beautiful. Steyoyoke thanks you, our old and new fans, for the substructure of love and support upon which this label is built. We bring you ultramodern remixes of our liveliest tracks from 2015 on the latest EP, Steyoyoke Anniversary Vol. 04, to celebrate the new year, including remixes by: Philipp Kempnich, Cid Inc, Oliver Schories, MIDAS 104, and Jonas Saalbach.

Philip Kempnich remixes Aaryon and Ran Salman's 'Riptide', fundamentally shifting the patterns of sound consistently to leave you with an ever-pleased, tingly aural sensation. Cid Inc brings us his take on Nick Devon's 'The Poem' featuring Miroir, taking advantage of the earthy bass line through a complimentary arrangement. Oliver Schories faced Soul Button and BLANCAh's 'Rising Silence' turning this track into a twisted fantasy guaranteed to engulf you. MIDAS 104 approaches Animal Picnic's 'Gravity' with a bold confidence evident in the layout of this true anthem of ethereal techno, with a hint of funk! Lastly, but not leastly, Jonas Saalbach remixes Dahu and MPathy's 'Shattered' sticking to the darkness that is, while adding minimalistic elements to make this track simultaneously sink in and pop out in the most unpredictable and astounding ways.

It was 2016 when we last saw the Venezuelan duo, better known as Fur Coat, drop their debut ‘Interstellar’ EP on Watergate Records and now they finally return with their follow up, the ‘Immersion’ EP.  

“Immersion” kicks off with an agile kick drum setting the stage for rapid fire percussion and an overwhelmingly satisfying ascending organ line that could be the trademark of any sci-fi film score. Add a few shudders of glimmering atmospherics and it’s a trek into the cosmic realm of Techno where space and time cease to exist. 

Flipping sides the duo dive deeper into the infinite expanse with “Inner Circle” where lush textures canvas a mesmerizing groove and hypnotic spirals of gratifying repetitive sonics resulting in a fiercely energetic yet undeniably euphoric expedition under the club lights. Back and fresh on the release circuit for 2k18 is Berlin-based Jose Antonio Garcia Soler, better known to his friends and followers by his artistic nom de guerre KID SIMIUS. The KID proudly presents his FLASHBACK EP, a heartwarming monster of a single featuring no-one less than the beloved band outfit KILNAMANA comprised of Enda Gallery and KID SIMIUS' brother Miguel Garcia Soler. With the original version of Flashback KID SIMIUS and KILNAMANA present a tender, yet highly emotional slow jam, a modernistic take on contemporary Future R'n'B and Urban Soul accompanied by epic synth leads, a sparse electronic and surely beatmaker influenced foundation. It's electrifying chorus touches hearts from deep within. On a remix tip for Flashback is NICONE. The German producer who's been stirring up dancefloors throughout the past decade with releases on labels such as Stil Vor Talent, Katermukke and his very own imprint Dantze. His take on Flashback beams us straight to the very center of a buzzing dancefloor, implementing a warm yet hypnotic feel to his musical interpretation whilst sending punters to a next lexel of ecstasy with large scale build-ups and crystalline synth lines. Closing the EP with his remix is KALIPO, a Berlin-based Bavarian known for his complex and intricate take on club music under this moniker as well as for his activities in the highly successful German IndieElectro-staple Frittenbude for more than decade. His rework comes down to a perfect soundtrack to accompany a beautiful sunrise on the dancefloor, catering a detailed menu of multilayered strings, slightly balearic guitars, pumping beats and, of course, the original tunes beautiful vocals spreading nothing but everlasting love whenever played out to a heaving crowd.

After Italian run label Engrave Ltd released their first compilation, simply named 'Volume 1', label bosses @dodi-palese and @musumeci return with the second chapter of the compilation series, which follows the concept of the first release by offering a platform for known but also up-and-coming artists of the electronic music scene. Quite established and renowned are Musumeci, Sisio, Simeone and Pavi alias Human Machine, who have created quite some buzz around their music ever since their first release '146', which was out on Connaisseur Recordings in 2016. The quartet rarely provides its audience with new material but when they do the music dives deep beyond the surface. 'Rosetta', Human Machine's contribution for 'II', is no exception. Starting off with an almost techno-ish bass line it is Musumeci, Sisio, Simeone and Pavi's preference for creating memorable melodies that not only comes through but takes over and is carried by the clap and recurring forward pushing and twisted synth-sounds that unload their energy.
