Australian duo Arm In Arm return to Blaufield Music in late March to reveal their latest single ‘Hunger For Your Vibe’, accompanied by a remix from Stil Vor Talent favourites Moonwalk.

Melbourne based duo Arm In Arm aka Eliza Jacobs and Luke Moore-Martin emerged onto the worldwide scene last year after being discovered by Booka Shade, revealing their debut single ‘Nightfly’ on Blaufield Music in September accompanied by a remix from the label bosses themselves. Having received a wealth of support from a host of international names, reaching #3 in Beatport’s Melodic House & Techno release chart in the process, the duo now return with their latest single ‘Hunger For Your Vibe’ ahead of their two forthcoming support dates as part of Booka Shade’s 2019 AUS & NZ Tour, describing the track’s core influence as ‘the feeling about something or someone that draws you in’.

Arm In Arm’s original opens the EP as infectious vocal hooks go to work amongst escalating lead melodies and low end tones, whilst Neapolitan pairing Moonwalk’s interpretation fuses dramatic builds, warping basslines and ethereal tones throughout, with the package punctuated by a radio edit of the original cut.

Alexander Alar returns to Lost on You with a two-track EP. The first single in the EP is the single 'Amsterdam'. This single is a fusion of melodic house and techno. The single starts off with a driving bassline that resonates throughout the entire production. Slowly, we start hearing new elements being introduced such as melodic one-shots, and the main chord progression of the 'Amsterdam'. This memorable chord progression pairs up perfectly with the speaker rattling bassline.

The second single off the EP is "Dubai". The melodic techno single has a short bassline that runs throughout the entirety of the single. As the song progresses we are introduced to an oriental vocal that adds depth to the single. With the percussion in the background and the synths opening up we are introduced to the atmospheric drop. Undoubtedly, 'Dubai' has elements that will make any techno aficionado groove. Lost On You's commitment to top-notch music, showcasing emerging talent and helping thousands in poverty worldwide is admirable, and the EP on display here only reflects that enduring commitment. 'Returning to Sprout is the amazing Marcus Meinhardt with Rabbit Hole featuring a classy remix from Stereo Express. 

Ever the musical butterfly, Meinhardt makes music that defies genre classification and oozes sophistication. Signed to a disparate array of labels from Kittball to Micro.Fon, he's always in the boxes of the big ticket DJs and never fails to impress. 'Rabbit Hole' opens in fine form with sparse percussion and a bubbling bass line making way for intricate melodic patterns. Growing organically tension builds towards the break with Vangelis-like layers of synthwork adding a futuristic 80s feel. On the remix, Stereo Express take it deeper teasing out the main motifs over two breaks which develops into a monster mid-set groover.'

Lucas Tesoin and Thomas Maschitzke know each other for a long time since both are part of the Suspekt roster and were working together from now and then in the past. With the ‘Affront EP’, the Berlin-based DJs and producers teamed up for a more intense collaboration. The sound of the EP gets under one’s skin with its energetic and powerful tunes but is also deep and ethereal at the same time. A record truly made for every floor, club or crowd that admires straight, resolute and soulfully crafted techno.
 
The most groovy track of the ‘Affront’ EP is probably the remix of ‘Insecure’ by Boy Next Door and Pascale Voltaire. A rhythmic bass line slowly gets supported by a snapping clap giving room to the cheerful melody. The second break steadily builds up the increasing tension until breaking down almost completely a few seconds before the powerful drop. The reinterpretation is in no way inferior to the original, leaving nothing behind but a packed dance floor.

Booka Shade welcome back Moonwalk to deliver their first full EP on the label as the duo reveal their ‘Elessar’ EP to open December.

Milan-based, Neapolitan duo Dario Vizioli and Mauro Morabello, aka Moonwalk, have emerged in recent years as one of Italy’s brightest rising duos within the melodic house and techno scene, with releases to date via the likes of Stil vor Talent, Diynamic, Knee Deep In Sound and Suara gaining the attention of a host of the industry’s leading names, from Solomun to Carl Cox and beyond. Having debuted on Blaufield earlier in the year to remix Arm In Arm’s ‘Hunger For Your Vibe’, most notably featured during ARTBAT’s stand out Cercle performance, here we see the pairing return to Booka Shade’s label to deliver their first full EP on the label entitled ‘Elessar’.

Title production ‘Elessar’ opens the EP in emphatic fashion as the pair weave soaring lead synths amongst suspenseful, energy building breaks and sweeping sonics, whilst ‘Cheos’ welcomes as slightly darker aesthetic as rich melodies meet restrained yet punchy percussion arrangements alongside further towering builds and breaks. Last up, the duo combine with fellow Italian Erly Tepshi to unveil the softer yet bright ‘Ikarus’, guided by resonant leads and Elenora’s infectious vocals throughout.
