Forerunners return to Sudbeat with his first full EP - Fear is the Mind Killer. 

Bursting onto the scene some 8 years ago, Arizona-based Brenden LaBonte (or Forerunners to his fans) has quickly progressed up the ladder with music signed to an impressive list of high profile labels including Perfecto, Pure Progressive, Anjunadeep and more. His signature slow build style is perfect for us, and we are excited to present these immersive and emotional tracks. 

Opening with a carnival of beats is 'Fear is the Mind Killer'. Melodic layers ebb and fade over the opening bars adding tension. Bass and spiky sonics in the midsection indicate a definite energy rise with the main break becoming an oasis from the chaos that powers from the drop in the final third. 'Distant Signal' with its Bladerunner-esque dystopian keys is a darker, more insistent partner. Elegant pads and choppy arps add interest to this heads-down stomper for just before dawn ushers in reality.

Rounding out the year in style, Deepwibe Underground welcomes Agustin Pietrocola back to the label for a new EP. On the strength of releases for Mango Alley, Movement Recordings and One Of A Kind, Agustin made his Deepwibe Underground debut in 2021 with 'Jewels'. The music scene is asking for a revolution as the world is going crazy. How should we deal with long winters and days without light?
EINMUSIK answers with peace. His new longplayer "Serenade" brings moments of freedom and magic. The Berlin based producer and live act combines the pace of electronic music with classical composing on Movement I, which is the dance part of the album.
First "Serenade" comes in with industrial cold claps and a techy hook. A typical EINMUSIK track and the start for a cross-genre journey.

Without loosing the drive this album part creates a special relaxed atmosphere. Songs like "Maan" are asking and answering many questions with emotive piano parts. A natural groove, rolling bass lines and redemptive breaks. Samuel Kindermann created his own language which is spoken all around the globe.
In "Biscarrosse" so many international influences come together,"Nightingale" brings a dark vibe to turn into a sunrise later and "Marin" is pumping and shows a new electronical chapter which takes your breath away when it breaks.

On "Nordkapp" everything gets lost - the piano part is breaking trough the clouds slowly, with a clear statement of how to make everything better, just an idea how it can become easier.
With Movement II you can discover a part of EINMUSIK which was behind the curtain but has always been part of his performances. Only a hand full of electronic producers show their passion and love to their own music while performing like he does. And so the track "Cenote" is the start of a deep dive. A cosmic listening experience, slowed down, different and with massive impact.

The sun is shining on the "Nob Hill" - of course this tune brings the California vibe and its easiness. "Prana" starts melancholic before the strings announce hope and love. More bleeps and cosmic vibes in "Ayana" with its big opening moments. Back on earth with "Precious". Let's stay a bit. Everything will be fine.

A Proton Music regular, Andre Sobota has led the vanguard of underground dance with a catalogue of cross-genre tracks. June 2018 saw the release of the stunning "Robots" EP now rebooted with a pair of new remixes.

An artist with a sizeable reputation that continues to grow at an exponential rate, Luka Sambe has come a long way since an early debut for Looked Records in August 2014. Indeed, a double-century of releases has seen the Australian sign his music to some of the industry's most influential underground imprints. A regular on the likes of Cid Inc.'s Replug, Guy J's Lost and Found and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat has seen a raft of original releases find their way on to the setlists of the DJ elite and June 2018's "Rululu" for the Cattaneo led imprint providing a quartet of tracks of the highest quality. 

The "Family Tree" was a notable 2016 highlight for Particles and, having recently remixed Dan Sieg's "Something's Not Clicking Right" alongside Quivver for Mango Alley, Proton Music is honoured to welcome Luka Sambe to the label with an outstanding reworking of "Held Over". With intricate detail and exquisite precision, a hypnotic percussive groove paves the way for a beautiful and shimmering play on Sobota's melodic phrasing. Evolving delicately, a meandering, freeform motif builds to a mid-point zenith before a huge beat and seismic bassline drop into the third movement with additional pitched elements providing the perfect juxtaposition.

Award winning Middle East DJ on multiple occasions, Subandrio Sinhawansa continues to carve out an ever-expanding career within the underground dance scene. Scintillating performances behind the decks has seen a host of global appearances captivate audiences with spell-binding sets while a production career has also provided considerable success. A distinctive "deep, dark melodic frequency palette" has led to over 150 production credits across a host of high-profile imprints that include, Perspectives Digital, Balkan Connection and January 2018's "Fugue State of Mind" on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music. A regular on Particles with remixes of Andre Sobota and Lanvary combined with appearances on the seasonal Particles compilation series, a trio of remixes on Proton Music for Pete K, Tim Penner and, most recently, Matter's "We Are Dust" in May 2018, is now followed by a fourth.

Taking on the title track, the Subandrio remix of "Robots" is an intelligent reworking of Sobota's original as strong beat and rapid-fire percussive hi-hat groove provide the perfect foundations for a luscious melodic tapestry to weave itself into the rhythmic pattern. Using components from the original to great effect to create a launching pad for his own production material, a coruscating arpeggio and plucked motifs combine effortlessly with huge white-noise washes and pulsating bassline to great effect.

Remixes from Luka Sambe and Subandrio have created a free-flowing movement for Andre Sobota's "Robots".

onedotsixtwo’s final release of 2020 comes from one of the labels favourite contributors, Colombia’s progressive superstar, Kamilo Sanclemente, in a joint production with another stalwart of Colombia’s electronic music scene, Mauro Aguirre. This is not the pair’s first collaboration. They have worked together on a number of originals and remixes over the past few years including offerings on Hope Recordings, Manual Music, and most recently Proton.

Separately Kamilo Sanclemente has had another a huge year with his profile on the global progressive scene going from strength to strength due to a on-going supply of releases featuring his trademark progressive sound, which has been constantly championed by the major players, and topped off by his Urania, his recent release on The Soundgarden, that has taken the charts by storm. 

Hallucinations is a beast of a track which takes no prisoners from the off. A tight kick and an elastic bassline interspersed with reverberating fx leads into a scorching first drop, which in turn releases a mesmerising lead synth line. Complex fx continue to ebb and flow, stabbing through the rumbling lead bass. As the main break reaches it’s powerful crescendo a hauntingly beautiful dual Indian vocal appears and takes the track into full orbit. As has been shown on their previous collaborations Kamilo and Mauro are a combo to be reckoned with. 

On remix duties are Argentina’s Ezequiel Anile and Nicolas Petracca, AKA EANP, who have crafted Hallucinations into a deep brooding dark room progressive groover with a nod to the old school, and reminiscent of the sound of the early progressive pioneers like Morel. Ezequiel and Nicolas have been working together since 2014 as EANP. They debuted on onedotsixtwo early in 2020 with their outstanding three track Sunlights EP, and have released a steady stream of impeccable progressive gems on labels such as Serendeep, Droid9, Or Two Strangers and Balkan Connection during 2020 alone.

onedotsixtwo are saying goodbye to 2020 with a bang and looking ahead to a less challenging year in 2021 where we can all get back to the place we love the most, our hallowed dancefloors.
