It is always an exciting prospect when two exceptional artists, with the ability to create totally enthralling dance music, come together in the studio. Sahar Z and Navar are two like-minded souls - both inspired by a broad range of different genres that are reflected in their combined musical style - a style that can be best described as deep, melodic, hypnotic and most definitely danceable. Guy J’s Lost & Found label is set to raise the bar yet again with another amazing meeting of musical minds.

The subtle, intricate layers of hypnotic excellence that build joyously throughout ‘Breathe Deep’ create a mantra for a very special journey that ebbs and flows to perfection. Meanwhile, the spiralling, bass-heavy rhythmic experimentalism of ‘A Prelude To’, with its deeply delicious, subtly evolving melodic vibes, exhibits an entirely different, yet no less enthralling exotic energy. What you have here are two gloriously different pieces of music that fuse together two immense creative forces.
“Since day one, when we met at Paradigm back in 2013 we felt this magic connection between us, accompanied by the desire to share and explore our feelings through music together. Since we come from different living environments and cultures, we tried to combine those different experiences and emotions to create one big piece of music! Prelude usually describes some fleeting emotion, from the lowest to the garden bursting joy…we think we succeeded! ☺” – Sahar Z 

Legendary Tel Aviv-based DJ, Sahar Z, a long time veteran of the global techno-house scene, has also emerged as one of Israel’s finest musical talents. His previous releases on Lost & Found are future classics, perhaps none more so than the critically acclaimed “Time” LP (LF017), created in collaboration with Guy Mantzur. Not limited by any genre or style, Sahar’s unique sound transports audiences through a journey of atmospheres and moods, from deeply melodic sounds and fresh electronica to harder yet soulful techno.

Navar (or Eelko Wijnja to his family and friends) can be best described as a real studio junkie. Since he first delved into the mysteries of music production at the tender age of 13, this young man from Friesland in the north of Holland has quietly been learning his future trade. His prodigious talents were spotted early by Guy J, who was quick to sign up a selection of stunning tracks for Lost & Found in 2013 - ‘Le Paradigme’ (LF008) and ‘Found01’(LF011). For the past two years Navar has been delving into deeper sounds, to explore different sides of his creativity, realising that there is so much more to discover. Now, the next chapter is about to begin.

“The music I make always combines the reflection and experience I took from that moment. The pinnacle is when a dream comes true into the music, like a cloud full of the things you are going trough, no matter if this is good or bad, that is the essence of what I like to show in my music.” - Navar

Exciting times lie ahead. With another EP already completed, Sahar and Navar are set to build on the creative momentum around their exciting collaborative project. On 14th August 2016 they will play the opening set (4 hours B2B) in the Lost & Found tent at the Paradigm Festival in Holland (http://paradigm-festival.com)

LF031 Sahar Z & Navar - A Prelude To Preview

One of Dancing Astronaut’s artists to watch in 2017 and the man behind one of the most impressive debuts of 2016, Beatport #1 album ‘One Day of Independence’ on Guy J’s Lost & Found, returns to home ground. This time in the shape of 5 incredible remixes by some of electronic music’s most intriguing and brightest stars.

Lehar, Luca Bachetti, Patrice Baumel, Termoment and Lost & Found head honcho Guy J have each reinterpreted their favourite off Khen’s future classic debut.

‘Imaginal Cells’ has been repurposed by the label boss himself into a beautiful slice of melodic goodness. With trippy FX details and a serene breakdown, its yet another Guy J classic rework. 

Diynamic's Lehar offers his take on the Khen and Guy J collabo ‘Prism’, turning down the intensity of the original with a sophisticated touch, he leads the track to deeper waters with an infectious melody that marries the familiar underlying key elements of the original in perfect symbiosis.

The sonic voyage continues with Luca Bachetti’s groovish take on ‘Authentica’. Adding to the recognisable lead melody, he gives the track an almost cinematic and atmospheric treatment that leaves you longing for more.

Patrice Baumel, fresh from the success of his recent remix of Cubicolor, tackles ‘Land of Goshen’. Taking the track in a more driving and pumping direction with a nod to 90s classic Trance, this track will cause a stir in sets from dusk to dawn.

Closing the collection on a trippy vibe with hints of old school Acid and an uncanny detailed soundscape that will leave you in awe, is Termoment’s take on ‘One Day of Independence’. A beautiful and fitting finalé to this weighty package of reworks.

Chain One is the beginning of a new remix compilation on the label New Port Records. Together with artists such as Rene Bourgeois, Nico Pusch, Monova, Dennis Rema, Red Rooms, Copilco and Martin Kleinert, we have generated something new again from already released tracks. We all share the same love for technoid, bass-heavy music. Everything is connected and has a meaning, even if this sense is often hidden, we know that we are close to our true mission when our actions are imbued with the energy, the driving tones, the oppressive bass and the enthusiasm. So we forged an interlocking chain of synthesizer, drums, pads, claps and leads to create something new, tangible. The 146th release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Ziger back to the label for a brand new single. The Greek artist last appeared on the Greek imprint in May of 2016 with a remix of Michael A's '17 Pounds'. Now fresh off an EP for Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music Ziger makes his much anticipated return to Movement with 'Faith in the Future' alongside remixes from SEQU3l and Matan Caspi. 

Much loved for his pure progressive house sound Ziger sticks to roots on 'Faith in the Future' and delivers one of the genres true gems. Anchored by pulsating tones and meaty kicks the piece moves through a variety of pensive motifs over its seven minute journey. Energetic yet meditative; solemn synths, luminous textures and subtle hooks wrap around the framework, ultimately leading to a charming break. Dulcet and dreamy, the one minute interlude shifts planes as the beats fade off before a tasteful build takes you back into the cosmos.
