Jordan Arts hits the new peaks of glory with his undeniable talent and knowledge in electronic music. - states Mixmag in their recent interview with South African rising star.

The 25 year old South African producer plays live guitars, synthesizers, saxophone and sings on all his tracks. This fall he has been featured in 4 page interview with Mixmag, by Beatport as one of artist "On The radar" and got to headline the Corona Sunset festival.

Following a successful year of releases and gigs South African rising talent Jordan Arts debut’s on Swedish label House Music With Love with his EP Don’t Look back. Casper Cole's remx of the EP's first single Dreaming was immediately picked up by Spotify on their massive 800,000 followers Lowkey Tech playlist.

The EP features a eclectic melodic remix by Blaufield's Casper Cole. All Day I dream duo Flowers on Monday join with a dreamy organic remix featuring a live violin by Deborah. Last but not least New York's rising DJ star Rïa Mehta joins the EP with her Peak hour Melodic Techno remix.

Jordan Arts has found great success this year with releases on Zehn Records, Purified Records, Steyoyoke and now with Swedish tastemakers House Music With Love. Dreaming is about appreciating each day as if it were you last, all we have is today, so we need to make the most of it. Jordan, equipped with his saxophone, guitar and synthesizers has seen much success with his live show, opening for acts such as Joris Voorn, Nora En Pure & Oliver Schories. With support from the likes of Black Coffee who featured Jordan’s collaboration with Africa Deep in his “tribute to Virigl” mix on Spotify. It is clear that the 25 year old has a bright future ahead of him in electronic music.

Constantly in demand as a producer and remixer, Mauro Di Martino AKA Musumeci’s career dates back to the late 80’s under various aliases. Armada, Bedrock, Diynamic Music and Innervisions are just a few of the labels that the Sicilian artist has released on as Musumeci over the years. On top of this, Musumeci is the owner of Engrave Ltd, Multinotes Recordings & Buttress Records.

Musumeci’s latest work comes to us via the iconic UK imprint, Renaissance Records, as he partners alongside Salento born Dodi Palese to remix for Fur Coat’s ‘Dystopia EP’ (released 12th November). Together, Musumeci and Dodi Palese reimagine the EP’s title track in their unique indie style. Speaking on their remix, the pair explained how they were “instantly drawn to ‘Dystopia’s’ infectious riff and specifically wanted to celebrate that element”.

To mark the release of Fur Coat's 'Dystopia EP' on Renaissance Records, we invited Musumeci to the True Underground podcast series.

Landing next on A Tribe Called Kotori is Spanish born, Germany based producer Bonfante. Schooled to the warm, suave traditional sounds of her homeland, the Kamai Music co-founder and 3000Grad resident plugs into our catalogue with the balearic-infused “Fallen Stars” EP - a three-track ode to a slower, kinder, more soulful kind of lifestyle and multi-strain blender of rhythms. 

Fusing electro-acoustic oneirism with a debonair polyrhythmic swagger, “Fallen Stars” swings and whirls like a slo-burning Latin-jazz jam, blended with a stealth bass drive, processed pop tropes and cosmo-folk accents. “Hidden Ground” shows off a more straightforward club attack without letting go of that syncopated groove signature of hers, dextrously moving the cursor from teeming sub-scapes to blazing bass flights. 

Rounding off the package, “Shall We Begin” is a further intricate paradox of altered machine gargles on a drip-tease flex and brittle, textures-splattered sound design. Continually evolving with every bar, it remains a cohesively riveting tableau, harbouring a noria of micro-realities over the course of seven painstakingly sculpted minutes of ethereal and vibrant, non-formulaic dance music.
