HIGHLITE - Symmetria

Single number five of 2021, called "Perception of Reality", is created by the trio of Trusted Tracks, Ito Cekaj, Rasange & Olavi. The track is built upon the idea of ones perception of the world can be very far from the truth. The track starts out with a airy and beautiful synth which then transitions into a gated vocal that gives the track a lot of atomosphere. When the drop hits, you get a bouncy groovy and these lush elements on top of it. The song then goes into a break which then leads back into the drop again but this time with a little bit more energy.

Frequent Flyer contains a superb combination of bustling beats and vibrating synths. Starting at a slow pace, but this track forms its body along the way. Juicy!

Perfect Landing is quite driving in the beats department. Rolling grove, heavy on the bass ... uptempo classy stuff!

Martin's progressive approach on Frequent Flyer is top-notch. Expect a swing-fueled and hypnotic groove.

'We have been keeping an eye on the skills of Mattia Pompeo for several years and we can say now that he has changed his status from promising to proven talent. He’s back with three powerful original tracks and a huge AFFKT remix, and altogether create this Arctic Circle EP.

Mattia comes with some fresh air from the North to refresh the heat of this summer ’18. On ‘Circle’ we find a hypnotic leitmotiv along a vibrant bass and some analog percussion. All the story is completed by an amazing guitar with an eighties touch. Sincopat’s captain AFFKT offers a different vision of the track providing a super groovy rhythm plus a second thick synth to the cocktail. With ‘Blanc’ you will get a splendid bubbling bass and just a few elements properly placed to get the best on the dance floor. For ‘Arctic’ Mattia develops a new line of treatment focusing on a new monster bass that will surround everything at the dance floor. An epic flavour is added with some delicate strings and pads.'

Murat Uncuoglu offers a massive remix taking the original to the dance floor in a sharp but respecting the essence of the original mix. Spumanta is also breaking the rules of electronic music with an unpredictable base and composition. Two artists at the top of their respective careers, Da Fresh and Randy Seidman are "On It" for the 82nd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital.

An artist with over 1,000 production credits to his name since 2006, Da Fresh has continued to carve out a sizable niche with his distinctive brand of underground House. Signed to such high-profile imprints as Toolroom, 1605, and Armada, the Lyon based artist's own Freshin imprint has been a vehicle for a host of original material.

Similarly, Randy Seidman from Los Angeles has witnessed a stellar DJ career, playing well over 600 shows supporting Psy Trance superstars Infected Mushroom across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. As a "Breakthrough Artist" in the elite DJ Mag Top 100, a production career in tandem has seen a plethora of releases for Outta Limits, Bonzai Progressive, and many more.

Originally joining forces in 2019, Da Fresh and Randy Seidman now debut on Perspectives Digital with "On It". An immaculate blend of rolling percussive rhythm and bouncing bass groove quickly pave the way for LFO'd melodies to swim across the stereo spectrum alongside reverb-drenched vocal phrasing. Rising and falling with dancefloor prowess over its six minute duration, the track hits the mark post-breakdown with real verve.

The artistic pairing of D-Nox and Beckers requires little in the way of introduction to the dance music cognoscenti. At the peak of their powers for over 15 years, the Brazilian/German axis have been responsible for over 300 combined production credits for some of the finest modern imprints. Bedrock, Global Underground, Suara, Selador, and Parquet Recordings have all played host to the duo's music in a jewel-encrusted array of releases. Moreover, the pair have been a fixture in clubs across the globe with their captivating DJ sets, leading to an appearance in DJ Mag's coveted DJ charts and the Beatport Music Awards.

Making their first foray onto Perspectives Digital, D-Nox and Beckers' remix is a glorious reimagining of "On It" that opens with shuffling hi-hats and a hypnotizing arpeggio that has its roots firmly in the melodic phrasing of the original. Making clever use of the vocal cuts so prevalent in Da Fresh and Randy Seidman's work, the track builds with white-noise infused stabs and a glissando lead. Building to a rousing zenith at the breakdown, the track really hits its stride in the latter stages. The result is a stunning rework that's certain to be a favorite in 2021 and beyond.

On our final release of 2020, Marc Holstege and newcomer duo Jaquomo each offer strikingly tender original tracks, while remixers Moonwalk and Fabian Krooss rework them with dancefloors past and future in mind. The result is a split EP that bridges the gap between the intimate, highly personal experience of today and the nostalgia-driven hope for tomorrow. 

On Marc Holstege's 'The Boy In The Garden', melancholic strings rise and fall endlessly over a slow breakbeat and shimmering synths. But it's the soulful, contemplative male vocal sitting at the song's core that reaches straight for the heart – and won't let go again. 'Wolves (Sunday Morning Version)' is equally touching, as the Dutch producer guides another delicate vocal through a dazzling slow-beat arrangement with profound results. For their remix, the Italian duo Moonwalk then strip 'The Boy In The Garden' of its sentimental atmospheres, cunningly remoulding the vocals to fit their razor-sharp and cinematic peak-time sound.

Jaquomo's 'Replace Space' is sure to run on repeat. Here, Caro Mac's vocal incites our memories for those lost loves as it floats over pensive chords and a crunchy trip-hop beat. 'Close & Hide' is pitched-down piano house accentuated by another ingenious use of vox, making it just as moreish. Rounding things off with a bang, Fabian Krooss reimagines 'Replace Space' as a playful italo-disco opus of arpeggiated basslines and wonky synths.
