Created over the span of two years, Balance 032 marks a creative high point in the career of Madrid based artist Henry Saiz, and this marks his third appearance for the hallowed compilation series. Spread over an expansive three discs, it has given him the space to curate a truly stunning odyssey of creative expression, one influenced by everything from AI to his recent ADHD diagnosis. As ever, he has gone above and beyond to ensure that the mix is crammed full of exclusive, unreleased material, with nearly 75% of the music included, both from himself, and many of his favourite producers, collaborators, and upcoming artists through to household names such as Ryksopp. "Since I've done two Balance compilations already, I didn't want to repeat myself" he says. "My first, 'Balance 19', was very important for my career and I knew people would be comparing it with this new one, so I put a lot of effort into it to make it more attractive and to be able to gain more control in the final product sound wise. roku opens the new year with a fresh collaboration from label boss @DaLuka and rising talent @ElectricDada. Hailing from Albania, Da Luka emerged from his country's electronic music landscape just over a decade ago. Whether operating in solo capacity or alongside occasional production partner Jorgio Kioris, Da Luka's creative vision would summon the praise of progressive music tastemakers Cid Inc, Guy J, Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and more, in turn leading to releases via Droid9, Juicebox Music, Movement Recordings and WARPP. Choosing his projects wisely across 2023, the year would prove to be impactful for the Berat resident, with the formation and subsequent success of roku, along with key releases via Electronic Groove and Mango Alley. Meanwhile, made up of German artists Jan de Vice and JP Silence, the Electric Dada alias was revealed to the world in 2020. The duo's progressive style was immediately recognized for its emotive qualities and strong dancefloor sensibility. A transcendent sound which would see them go on to release key projects via Clubsonica, Dopamine White, Massive Harmony and Univack, while also earning praise from the underground's premiere tastemakers. Having been paired together once previously for a release via Electronic Groove, Da Luka and Electric Dada combine their extensive forces once again, getting 2024 off to a strong start with ‘Rubicon', alongside remixes from @Subandrio and @FortyCats

Following the release of Francesco Pico's fourth studio album 'Perpetual E-Motion' which was released in the summer of 2023, we are planning to release a handful of remixes on Magnitude Recordings in 2024.

The first two remixes are done by Kyotto and Around Us, two known names in the progressive house scene, and two personal favorites of Francesco who selected them personally. Their reworks for 'Stay Ouf Of There' and 'Perpetual E-Motion' will for sure gather nice support and love from the global prog community!

The music scene is asking for a revolution as the world is going crazy. How should we deal with long winters and days without light?
EINMUSIK answers with peace. His new longplayer "Serenade" brings moments of freedom and magic. The Berlin based producer and live act combines the pace of electronic music with classical composing on Movement I, which is the dance part of the album.
First "Serenade" comes in with industrial cold claps and a techy hook. A typical EINMUSIK track and the start for a cross-genre journey.

Without loosing the drive this album part creates a special relaxed atmosphere. Songs like "Maan" are asking and answering many questions with emotive piano parts. A natural groove, rolling bass lines and redemptive breaks. Samuel Kindermann created his own language which is spoken all around the globe.
In "Biscarrosse" so many international influences come together,"Nightingale" brings a dark vibe to turn into a sunrise later and "Marin" is pumping and shows a new electronical chapter which takes your breath away when it breaks.

On "Nordkapp" everything gets lost - the piano part is breaking trough the clouds slowly, with a clear statement of how to make everything better, just an idea how it can become easier.
With Movement II you can discover a part of EINMUSIK which was behind the curtain but has always been part of his performances. Only a hand full of electronic producers show their passion and love to their own music while performing like he does. And so the track "Cenote" is the start of a deep dive. A cosmic listening experience, slowed down, different and with massive impact.

The sun is shining on the "Nob Hill" - of course this tune brings the California vibe and its easiness. "Prana" starts melancholic before the strings announce hope and love. More bleeps and cosmic vibes in "Ayana" with its big opening moments. Back on earth with "Precious". Let's stay a bit. Everything will be fine.

Argentina is a country with a celebrated progressive house heritage. One of the key figures at the inception of the movement was Marcelo Vasami. First hitting the scene in 2005, the Buenos Aires-based  artist quickly became one of the genre's most recognizable names, eventually showcasing his music on Sudbeat and Hope Recordings. He continues to be one of his country’s most popular DJs, having shared the stage with Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and Replug label boss Cid Inc. Having debuted on Replug in 2011, Marcelo now makes a long overdue return with a brand new EP entitled 'A Fantastic Fear Of Everything'.

Original music from Marcelo has been scarce as of late, with his last project (a collaboration with fellow countryman Nicko Izzo) being released well over a year ago on Nick Warren's Hope Recordings. 'A Fantastic Fear Of Everything' couldn't arrive with more anticipation and points to being the Argentine's career best work.  Entrancing soundscapes combined with a sub heavy groove and strong rhythmic elements set the piece in motion. Fading to prominence, a tasteful arp naturally evolves, allowing you to get lost in a sea of cosmic vibrations. Chilling moods resonate at the core of the centrepiece, building slowly with charismatic charm, before a rush of percussion sparks a powerful drop and seductive finale.

Returning once again to his esteemed imprint is Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc, who provides the lone interpretation of 'A Fantastic Fear Of Everything'. An eventful summer saw the Finnish artist with EPs on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Replug Records, the latter of which is still enjoying time in Beatport's progressive house chart, now four months after its release. Cid Inc's vivid imagination and uncanny sense of club dynamics brings 'A Fantastic Fear Of Everything' even closer to a peak time dance floor. The ebb and flow of its energy is engaging, as a rolling full bodied groove, redemptive rhythms and avant-garde sci-fi textures unite in perfect harmony for this synth-driven scorcher. Already a highlight in Cid Inc's recent sets across the world, it's now set to be one of the biggest and most sought after progressive house tracks as 2017 winds to a close. 

The companion piece 'Plot' showcases a deeper, darker side of Marcelo's studio repertoire. Quirky, tough and a touch subversive it's an interesting contrast in mood and design. Primed for dance floor destruction, its funked-up progressive attitude is powerful with enticing strokes, buzzing effects and ghostly vocals adding their own melancholic touch. It perfectly completes the release which now sits as Marcelo's most accomplished work to date.
