Release Info: 
Pole Folder knows good club music. As one of Belgium’s top electronic musicians and DJs, this Brussels-based artist has consistently lit up dance music since 2001 when he led Europe’s early progressive house scene. Since then his evolution has seen him crowned Belgium’s Best DJ (2010), dazzle audiences with an impressive, multi-instrument live show, and build a family of talented electronic music producers via his highly respected label, Reworck.

It is his dedication to quality electronic music and his exploration of new sounds that has seen Pole Folder become one of Belgium’s most popular DJs. Today his sound covers everything from melodic techno to heavy house, deep soulful grooves and moving breakbeat pieces, as epitomised by the openness of his imprint. As Reworck approaches its 22nd release, the label has proven itself to be an eclectic home for exciting European talent with collaborations from artists such as Sven Jaeger, Marquez Ill, Ryan Davis, Amine Edge, Paronator or Oliver Schories to name a few. 

Pole Folder’s previous life as an influential progressive house producer saw him release music on some of the scene’s most prestigious record labels including Bedrock records, Global Underground, Renaissance. In 2003, John Digweed commissioned Pole Folder’s debut artist album ‘Zero Gold’ for his label Bedrock, and two years later it was released to worldwide praise from the electronic music media, including Resident Advisor, who gave it a 4.5/5 and described it as, “delicately atmospheric.musically rich.and one of those timeless pieces of music.”

Several ‘Zero Gold’ tracks such as ‘Faith In Me’, produced with vocalist Kirsty Hawkshaw, and ‘Salvation On Slavery Sins’ were featured on hit US TV shows including Nip/Tuck and CSI. Pole Folder and CP’s ‘Apollo Vibes’ cut was featured in the movie ‘Stark Raving Mad’, and another one of his hits ‘Dust’, was used as the backing music for a Channel 4 advertising campaign in the U.K..
Since 2003, Pole Folder has toured globally as a DJ and a live performer. His live shows aim to recreate the intricate and precise studio processes behind his music in a club environment with synthesizers, mixing desks, FX boxes, laptops, and live vocalists fashioned by Pole Folder into a succinct club sound. He plays also guitar, synths, and trumpet , skills that he acquired during a long musical education that began at the age of 5.

Release Info: 
GizA djs are an eclectic duo from Italy. GizA is an acronym of their real names Gian Pietro and Tiziano. Their collaboration began in 2005 playing together in events at their own Xtreme Festival: an electronic music festival in Italy that turns roads, bridges, tunnels, warehouses and unconventional places into new dancefloors!

Their productions are strongly inspired by the natural context of the nearby mountain areas of their hometown, Belluno, a delightful city on the edge of the national park of the Dolomites. 
Soon Solomun started to play some of their productions and released one of their tunes on Diynamic Music. 

The guys about their 4 track EP: 
’Express Yourself’ - During the creation of this song we always imagined that it could be a perfect soundtrack for some action films!

’Averau’ is the name of a beautiful mountain peak of the Dolomites (near our hometown), the song is like a trip in this fantastic landscape. If you pay attention you can hear some natural sounds of this place.

’Road to Delphi’ is a real dancefloor track which we did in a hotel after a festival in Italy. Few weeks later we put all the ideas together and finished it with some additional synth work in our studio. 

’Aliento del Mar’ means „Breath of the sea" which is the final track to close our journey.

Ofri who has been causing quite a stir with his melodic techno / progressive house influenced productions, on labels like Plattenbank & Steyoyoke, makes his debut with 2 stunning original tracks. 

His latest outing shows maturity and musical development, as we kick off proceedings with 'Celestials'. The track opens with all the right notes, as the expressive, progressive house influenced track grabs you from the word go, interspersing with roomy glowing vibes and filtered stabs, driving leads culminating into an energetic drop to round off this brilliant underground crowd pleaser, with its understated yet driving bassline powering the groove along. DJ AroZe manages to keep the energy up, subtlety allowing the driving feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape.

To close out DJ AroZe's debut on ICONYC we have the deep, hypnotic 'Berserkers', which is interspersed with subtle effective percussion a profound deep-tech groove and indie influence, turning this one into an underground anthem with a very soul tangling appeal. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dark atmospheric emotions complete the picture and create a cleverly worked piece of art to see out a true masterpiece.

"The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Victor Ortiz aka The Note V to the label for his debut EP. Since first appearing in 2012, the Mexican artist has found a home on Bar25, Manual Music and Steyoyoke where his unique take on melodic techno has flourished. Now following a remix for Sounds Of Earth, the Mexico City resident lands on Movement with 'Equilibre' alongside remixes from Magitman and Bessiff.

Beginning with the title track, The Note V collaborates with French artist Bessiff who is best known for this releases on Aftertech Records, Traum and Inner Symphony. Bringing their creative talents together the duo craft a slice of cosmic techno to set the mood of the EP. Backed by a warm yet punchy groove, it’s fragmented arps, buzzing synth swells and astral stabs fill in a framework as the first act unfolds. Timely modulation elevates the mood before smooth chord changes shift the narrative into emotive territory across an ethereal break and radiant finale. The companion piece 'Eclipse' finds The Note V collaborating with Sergio Oyarvide whom he worked with once previously on an EP for KDB Records. Following a similar sonic ethos to its predecessor, the duo build a narrative of emotive bass swells, playful arps and cosmic creativities. It’s spongy kick and perfectly sculpted bass flow with a wonderful warmth, as subtle shades and tones trail across the framework. The main break adds just the right amount of emotion to keep it’s exquisite vibe fully intact, before effortlessly shifting energy into a purring finale.

The lone interpretation of 'Equilibre' is provided by Magitman who returns to the label for his fourth appearance. The Israeli artist has been a fixture of the electronic underground for well over a decade and that extensive experience is always evident in his work. Now a regular on Beat Boutique and Proton Music, he returns to Movement with a stunning take on 'Equilibre'. Remarkably fluid and undeniably modern, it’s a mix that stays true to the delicate themes from the original, while adding a progressive essence through charming musicality and redolent rhythms. Timeless and emotive, the main break brings impassioned moments before pulling back for a tasteful drop and groovy final act."

The latest release from Ziger’s Eat My Hat Music welcomes DJ AroZe for his debut single. Hailing from the progressive house hotbed of Tel Aviv, Ofri Gayus aka AroZe came up through the progressive underground with a string of well received releases on ICONYC, Plattenbank, Soundteller and Steyoyoke. Now presenting his first project of 2020, DJ AroZe lands on Eat My Hat with ‘Una Vita Segreta’ alongside remixes from Ziger and Biskuwi. 
Beginning with the Original Mix DJ AroZe continues to explore the tougher spectrum of melodic techno. Backed by a deliberate yet chugging groove, it’s stunning effects, tight percussion and rugged synths quickly create a surreal environment. Advancing the narrative is an astral arp, flowing through intriguing rhythmic shifts, before melting down into a cinematic break complete with indistinct voices and a drop which will command the full attention of your dance floor. 
The first interpretation of ‘Una Vita Segreta’ is provided by Eat My Hat label boss Ziger. The Greek artist got the year underway with a well received remix of Juan Deminicis for Clubsonica Records before collaborating with Spanish star D-Formation on the powerful ‘Purge’. Now returning to his comfortable home of Eat My Hat, Ziger dials in another remix destined for Beatport chart success. Remarkably fluid and undeniably modern, it’s a mix that stays true to the devilish themes from the original, while adding an underlying tension through great use of the vocal elements and unique sonic artefacts. Esoteric atmospheres add further depth, before a more emotive break and punishing final act ultimately seals its brilliance. 
The second and final interpretation of ‘Una Vita Segreta’ is provided by Biskuwi who makes his label debut. The Swedish artist owns a short but impressive discography, highlighted by releases on Soundteller Records and Steyoyoke. Now stepping up to Ziger’s Eat My Hat, Biskuwi rounds out the release with a clever take on ‘Una Vita Segreta’. Clocking in at seven minutes, it’s spacious rhythmic core quickly becomes infectious as tight arps and frayed percussion fill in the framework. Expansive and perfectly timed, the main break drifts further into cinematic territory, meditative at points, emotive at others, making for a memorable dance floor moment, before a smooth energy bridge transitions the piece into a rousing finale. A lovely remix from Biskuwi, rounding out another strong offering for Ziger’s Eat My Hat imprint. Highly recommended.
